Anyone an expert in this area? brit citizen looking to find loan with 85% ltv. Looking into how feasible it is to get something in jordaan area of amsterdam financing remains key question at this point.

Where are your earnings earned? If in the Netherlands I would have thought a local bank would be the best option by far. Most of the UK lenders I have dealt with are geared towards the Med and city-centre locations (by which I mean Paris/Barcelona i.e. major cities).

Not much help, I realise.

Long time ago now , but i used the ABN AMRO for my 'expat mortgage' when i bought a house in the Netherlands back in the mid-nineties.

Sorry should be more specific. all earnings would be UK based

Presumably in this case you were living and working there? Im my case i will remain in the uk and generate all earnings in the uk and would intend to let out the flat in amsterdam

Ring or go and see the Bankmanager in Amsterdam

Explain what you intend to do.I would think they will check you out if you are bona fide.

Yes, was living and working in Assen at the time.

We used a UK broker who put us in touch with BNP Paribas for our French mortgage. I think they (the broker) covers Europe-wide. Can't remember their name unhelpfully but I'm sure there are loads.
