Credit Report - when do loans appear?

Hi,

We took out a new car loan (VWFS) a few days ago, just wondering when it'll appear on our credit report? I can see the credit check was done but not the value of the loan yet

I use Experian, but know there are others - is there a daily/weekly/monthly update? I know it took quite a while for my BMW settlement to clear the amount on the report and I had to provide proof of settlement as I was applying for a mortgage at the time

Will generally be updated monthly. But it can vary when in that month they are updated, dependant on both the lending company, and which credit reference agency (i.e Experian, or Equifax, or call credit).

So if the loan company don't report back until 25th of February, but the credit reference agency update your credit report on the 24th February, you won't have it showing on your file until the next month (25th March)
