as others have said
if you are being taxed with a nnnn W1 tax code you'll have been taxed extra because it's a snapshot tax code ( and some agencies in particular are lazy in putting people onto cumulative even if they provide a P45 / it;s the start of the tax year)
NI is a 'snapshot' regardless
lesson to take away = get your timesheets in
the income tax will work itself out if you are cumulative (or if you move to a cumulative tax code within the year) / will be reclaimable at the end of the tax year if you stay on w1 ... the NI is gone regardless.
