Getting a loan after moving home

Does getting a mortgage affect your ability to get an unsecured loan, and if so how long after moving should we wait before applying for further credit?

Loan would be used for home improvements and purchasing a second car if this makes any difference. The latter of which we may go down PCP route if figures look more favourable.

Don't know the official answer but I remortgage every 2 years, I have never had any issues securing credit and my credit rating is excellent, also have a lease car.
