nah this is a shake down. i seen it a few times. i only wish i had sold high and waited foR the drop yo rebuy again would have made 200 quid. i did this last time it went from 1300 to 1000 after the failed etf. btc is strong but jumpy.

Buy and hold is the way, unless these are the ripples of an BIG earthquake coming..?

I think you can spreadbet them. I'm not sure about the margin requirements/costs though. What's your time horizon?

I read on one crypto news site (probably completely pie in the sky) and they reckoned by 2030 one bitcoin would be worth $1 million! Crazy to fathom that. I'm most interested in Ethereum / Ethereum classic although i'm struggling to get why 1 bitcoin is worth $2000+ and 1 Ethereum classic is $18.

the 1 million valuation was by Wences Casares, CEO of bitcoin wallet Xapo and member of PayPal's board of directors and this was based on the growth rate a day.

etc i think is pretty overvalued in comparison to the others, yes it has grown but so have loads of other currencies that don't do a lot.

That guy is a fraud btw (not that it matters). If you google Paul Bilzerian (his father) that's where the money really came from.

biggrin you should try trading the opposite of your personal sentiment. I'm sure it takes a hell of a lot of courage and determination. I don't trade and value my sleep, so can't help smile

Has anyone deposited money into Gemini? I have just had my account verified and was about to make a deposit (wire transfer in USD). Confusingly I am presented with details for an intermediary bank (Pacific Coast) and a receiving bank (Silvergate) - which one do I send the money to?

Gemini say they will soon have a UK "arm", which will be able to cash out coins - I'd wait for that to materialise first, as the Fbook behind it has plenty of cash to pay out!

Does anyone use Xapo to buy coins? I'm jumping on the band wagon and going to invest $1000 Australian but want to make sure I use the best provider. Can anyone help?

Ok thanks for that. I'm currently looking at 2 providers and just wading through information online. Being someone with no prior share knowledge this is a steep learning curve. A cheeky weekend punt on AFL if funding this so if I loose it all I'm not to worried.

For now I'm just focusing on Bitcoin. From everything I'm learning their are just a wealth of Cryptocurrencies so I'm starting with the most well known. I'm just waiting on my bank account to be verified before I can buy any :/

Still having fun and games trying to even buy anything. I've decided to use Coinspot predominantly due to the availability of buying other currencies. Just want to get going after watching the likes of DASH & Ethereum lately.

They're well backed, have been around for a long time and are run by a true believer. If the price is good then you'll be fine but if there's a full verification option then take it as they're a little twitchy about that.

Great plan, once the problems are sorted, this is the currency of the future.
