Great plan, once the problems are sorted, this is the currency of the future.
really bitcoin is looking like a second runner now, and the lack of consensus seems to be a killer. the problem is bitcoin is a currency, eth is a whole lot more. the tokens on eth platform are worth nearly 1.2 billion on there own , add to the 34 billion market cap for eth.

the pigheadedness of bitcoin followers will be there downfall in my eyes.

I don't think you understand how very well written software evolves. Consensus arrives very slowly and carefully for serious products. It happens quickly for experimental mavericks and this is how holes appear like the DAO fiasco and the QuadrigaCX Ether contract code error. The safety of the system is paramount; any bank will tell you that.

i let numbers speak for me.

https://rolandkofler.github.io/flipper/

Does it flip?
Market capitalization of

ETH: 35,759,344,535 USD
BTC: 45,804,313,480 USD
ETH/BTC ~78%

95.51% ETH/BTC 24h Volume

like i posted i have no interest in eth(well i own tokens), i just understand it value something diehard btc fans cant see.

As we all know, the market can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent wink I hold eth, btw wink You copy & paste today's trading "numbers". I prefer to understand fundamentals. Ethereum has a use case, as does Bitcoin. They are at very different stages and are not comparable but complementary. iirc Vitalik Buterin also said this.

Hi all, like others I am looking into all things crypto at the moment and again, like others, I took a long look about 3 yrs ago but the hassle and barriers to getting involved prevented me from doing so. Could anyone recommend a list of exchanges that are 'safe'?
I read lots of reports stating stay away from this one or that one and really struggling to know which ones to open accounts with. Also, many exchanges only list a few coins, are there any that list all or a lot of them?
Thanks in advance

I'm using Uphold.com atm, was fast, and seems ok. Yet to withdraw any money though.

Values are now truly soaring, and with institutions like Fidelity actively exploring and promoting the asset, I can't see it stopping anytime soon. https://www.ft.com/content/876ec06c-3f46-11e7-9d56... .
For balance, I can.

The price action bears all the hallmarks of a bubble, not to mention the undiluted ramping. Is it really "different this time"...?
It really seems insane to me at the moment. Is it really 'the future'? I would be selling very soon I think if I had any.
This post hasn’t aged well.....

Flying to $6000 now.
I don't believe we're yet in a bubble. The total market cap is only $175bn. In terms of the worlds wealth ($250tn?) it's not even a dot.

I think we'll see 1tn in the next 5 years and I certainly hope so too.

my nerves got the better of me , just sold my holding on bittrex into their USD tether account , it had slid from $5696 to $5300 , so I lost about $200 over night.

Now I have USDT , hoping that BTC slides today and I'll buy back in or cash out altogether.

Does anyone have a verified account on coinbase. I'm starting to sweat a little with my verification.

They payment did go in to the account.

It took me about a month to get verified, there has been a huge influx of people recently so it's expected I guess.

Thank you. The payment went in successfully.

Did you receive an email to advise you had been verified?

Depends on the amount you're holding. Also do people actually pay CGT on profits earned from an unregulated currency?!? Are you legally obligated to?
