So the s have just changed the normal pension age for millions of people so it is now 68 instead of 67, or which I am one. I know there is a moaning thread in NP&E but I have a financial question.

Since my public-sector pension is linked to my 'normal pension age' I presume that means I can't now claim that either until 68? Will that apply to the entire thing?

Or, will the amount I have amassed so far be able to be claimed at 67, as I was promised, with any further contributions leading to (effectivly a new pension) that I will be able to claim at 68? ie a staggered retirement?

The "normal pension age" specified in your particular scheme and the state pension age are not the same thing.

It'd be very unusual to have your scheme's retirement age linked to state pension age.
