I honestly don't get the hype around this. How could the sec ever agree to allow funds to be invested in something that that is so heavily manipulated by others it is unreal.

Yet people still think it will happen, it is like a Folie à deux.

Sprucegoose skepticism is a strong buy signal.

hehe This thread is generally a good contra indicator.

The etf was denied months ago; the announcement was just a confirmation. All etf applications will be denied until there are market accepted price indices. That was the reason for denial.

As for manipulation, the definition of this is generally that there is someone in the market with more money than you.

We are talking about fake million trades on a top three exchange, this is more than what you say for a start. BTC has still more than doubled the money in just over a year. There is money to be made, I'm glad the hype is getting more controlled. I actually think another coin will get one before BTC, maybe eth or an alt.

I would like to point out this is the Winklevoss ETF which is essentially unchanged from the last time they proposed it, and were rejected.
The CBOE/ SolidX proposal is a whole different kettle of fish...

Their contracts being a 25 BTC minimum means that the average punter isn't going to be losing half their pension to manipulated markets.

The value is insignificant, the approval is dependent on more transparent and less corrupt exchanges, which haven't really changed, as not worth the effort in monetary terms.

Coinbase is the only one that implemented changes.

Because nobody really knows why, but it is just an exodus after the mania. The btc hardcore will see all this as nothing to worry about as it is still early days (10 years ish)

There's probably a good deal further to go. Capitulation may happen some time after nobody can be bothered to ask why nobody cares anymore.

I am genuinely flabbergasted most coins are still worth more than just above nothing. I think it demonstrates we have a lengthy way to go down yet. Many of the 'top' coins are broken, don't technically exist or have pretty much zero actual usage.

Cool. Don't worry about it. I am invested in bitcoin and there are exciting developments on the horizon, I'm all good thanks guys.

You can carry on as you were. Don't listen to me. And when a blockchain-based decentralized global energy market opens up just remember where you read it first.
And if it crashes I imagine that you’ll claim that you actually sold it all near the top.

when xrp was 3 dollars it was cheap, surely 30 cents it is megacheap.

I still think a swing from Sept on wards, just which coin is the question, probably something linked to Gemini, as they arestill working on nasdaq integration.

You seem to care more than anyone else on here Joey. The schadenfreude drips out of you every time there is a downturn in the market. Very predictable - I knew what your post was going to read like before I read it LOL.

Main reason seems to be due to the ETF decision which has been delayed.

It’s also the middle of summer so all the buyers are in Magaluf swapping STDs rather than dreaming up ways to borrow and bin next week’s wage packet.

I just can't take any article about bitcoin seriously that uses 'skyrocket'. I'm not sure, etf approval is a very long shot, most know that.

Anyone else woken up to some ETC in their Coinbase account? I haven't been following things at all recently, but this is a nice little bonus.

Good grief. The DAO fiasco was well over two years ago & you're only getting access to the original chain now?
