I would buy a Cayman R sorry

I feel as strong about the 981 as 981 owners do about the 718 :-) EPS sucks on the 981 range gen 1 tech is always crap.

Well, I've had a 4 hour test drive of a 718 Cayman S and it was bloody good. It sounded ok to me and it was faster than my old 991. So, the question is now: is there any discount on a GTS?

Totally agree If you want a slower, lesser handling car by all means buy a 981 GTS , i did read a report that a standard 718 is faster 0-60 that the 981 GTS.

Yep, it's all about the 0-60 time isn't it? That's what all Porsche owners care for smile

Not at all. My BMW is a good deal faster than my Cayman. it's all about the fun, not the 0-60.

Teddy, you have a lot to learn about trolling on this forum. 4/10 at best.

The 718 divides opinion, but that all it is, opinion.

Get over it.

Its the car for you then, enjoy, Porsche will be happy ;-)

Plenty on the other hand will enjoy their slower car more, some people seem to struggle with that concept. You don’t need to justify your choice especially if your yardstick is purely 0-60 times, you are just showing your ignorance. Ps if you can take advantage of the difference in handling on public roads I look forward to watching you on TV. In any event the turbo power delivery on tight twisties when off boost more than lets the 718 down than any difference in handling, just sayin’ ;-)

You are definitely correct people don't have to justify their choice of car and you are also correct in the real world that you would never feel the difference of the better handling. If 0-60 isnt so important why do a fair % of sportcars want to race you off the lights? Just sayin?
