Bad time to invest in equities?

Historically , February is one of the worst months for the Stock market.So for first time , ive decided to time it fo and buy in a down market .
I'm only buying minimum £500 per fund spread over several funds.Feb might be my fund purchase bilge month.I am a long term investor -having funds untouched for 15 yrs.
Im a amateur investor -so the strategy might be simplistic and flawed.

Just set and use limit orders. Thats the only way I have bought for the past 5 years. I never buy or sell at market.

1. S&P isn't the stock market

2. I'd be very wary of reading too much into one set of data - for example this link (can't verify its accuracy) with data from 1950 shows different results
