I'm not saying you can't make money on it at some point as you can with any share but there are better places imo for a short term travel stock gain.
There’s a few price targets of 120 about so anything near that I’d be a happy bunny. I had a spare bit lying around that I wanted to chuck at something different to my usual; it just looked a reasonable place to leave it for a few months.

Any thoughts on Standard Life Aberdeen (SLA)? I’ve held them for a long time mainly for the dividend which has now been cut. The dividend is still well covered but the shares seem to be constantly heading South.

They made their rises off the back of tesla so their prices are pretty entwined.

Nothing about them looks any good for new investors. A lot of brokers advising people to hold but if I did I'd get out.

I put a ‘stop loss’ in place yesterday. The shares were sold this morning and the proceeds reinvested in other equities.

SLA was about the worst performer I had - Bad Company’s Baddest. frown

Hello

It's me

The guy who owns some PHE

Doing some blatant ramping here

Hope that's OK

Don't forget you all need to buy buy buy so I can eat when I'm older

Thanks

If anything with that chart I'd be shorting it

Timely repeat!
I've been thinking about PHE for about a month, was in at about 8p and was watching it slowly slide. Kept thinking of topping up but didn't. Saw the RNS this morning and tried to add but HL as usual wouldn't let me......

Worth adding at 6.7p or expect another dip before the climb continues??

I didn't know about the RNS. I bought in about 8 to 10 weeks ago. I think the chart is looking better and better over the last few weeks. Of course it could go up or down but I think the trajectory is up.

Came on here to see if anyone had mentioned about today’s 12% rise and was chuckling to myself as I caught up on the posts last week. I hope neither of you sold first thing!

I picked up a betting amount when it was recommended on here at about half a penny, that’s up 1126% and got a few more at 5p. It’s been fun

Didn't sell in the end as I reminded myself I bought a a long term punt. £500 at just under half a penny each so happy days either way.

Anyone here have any thoughts on AO. Had a massive run up and then came back down. So a bit of hysteria which has now passed. Does that mean the company from Bolton can deliver or was it a flash in the pan?

It's still trading on a PE of almost 30 and a PEG of 1.4. It looks pretty expensive to me for a company with virtually no economic moat.

Paul Scott wrote this on Stockopedia at the tail end of last summer when they were sub 200p:

"this share has always looked wildly over-priced to me. It's really just a low margin distributor of mainly generic products that you can buy anywhere else. The CEO's gushing, over-the-top enthusiasm for such an ordinary business, has always struck me as a bit nauseating. How can anyone get wildly excited about delivering electrical goods?"

Has anyone else had their dividend payments delayed? I use Halifax Share Dealing Platform and waiting overdue dividends from THRL and BBOX. Halifax are saying they haven’t received the £’s from the companies yet though THRL was due on 28 May.

I’m also still waiting for APTD but Halifax said they’ve now received the dividend which was due on 27 May and will be paying me ‘shortly’. frown

I hold both of these. Not saying Halifax are talking b*******cks but THRL divi received into my account 28th May, BBOX received 1st of June. I hold both with AJ Bell.

Thanks, that’s really useful information. I’ll go back to Halifax.
