MTFB is on countdown now... Hold on to your hats gents (obviously dyor etc...)
At last. What timeframe?
Seriously... Today there is an rns saying they've extended patents on iclaprim to 2037 and the FDA should accept the NDA by next week, I believe, that will be the 3 months since the application.
All that said the sp hasn't done anything today so it's back to biting the finger nails...

11 million share trade went through 4pm today.
That's the Amp sell off to repay their loan facility (that's word on lse anyway) . Someone at AMP is going to be close to murder if we get the FDA acceptance next week, surely. The good news I guess is that there is strong demand for a piece of the company from major players. Even if its shenanigans for a cheap buy out at this point I don't care I just want my profit and to get out! FredClogs said:

You don't see a long term hold here?ATM said:

I'm no expert on the medical application or the business case. My feeling is that one of the big pharma companies will buy Motif if the prospect is a sound commercial proposition. I've been holding for 2 years so at this point I just want my profit I'm not sure that antibiotics represent a sound commercial business alone, the strong pressure to prescribe fewer and fewer and the diminishing returns when doctors do means the antibiotics industry is stuck in an arkward paradox and I don't see a way out such that a small start up could really have a linear ride up and up in the long run.
75p and I'm out.
I must say I made it a rule of mine to go nowhere near pharmas (and AIM O&G) after a few flukey "wins" and several dramatic fails. From a few mates working at the biggies I simply do not believe any of these minnows can go under the radar with any genius solution or discovery. Long before that they would have caught the attention of a big player, bought out handsomely and quietly get absorbed into the monster.
I wish you well with your investment and hope it proves me wrong.

Thanks, we'll see. RNS today on the FDA acceptance and the date is set for 13th Feb, I think we can.expect a significant rerate from now, but we'll see.
I'm seeing a 4% rise in the UK share today but then a 12% rise in the USA share so far. Surely they should follow right, unless the GBP USD swings wildly?Any thoughts on Debenhams? I've been watching them the last few months. Initially the large dividend yield attracted me but the threat of them going to the wall / slashing it was enough to keep me away with all their profit warnings. Now it looks like Mike is going to step in and swoop it up. Who knows what happens next if he does that. It'll be quite the challenge.

He's just bought house of Fraser too right and he already owned 30% of Debenhams?Didn't he lose 150m a few years ago betting on a bank - was it hsbc?

I believe he lost a rather tidy sum spread betting on HBOS.
