Interesting RNS from SXX this evening.
Regarding the bonds buyback/conversion?

Negative or positive impact on SP?
I'd say positive.

Yeah, should be positive ...you never can tell...im in for the long term so a dip now is a buying opportunity with this years new ISA allowance.

I was interested in buying into Sirius about a month ago after reading an article via fool.

Its a 2-3yr developing share by the looks of it. What are peoples long term aspirations for this share who hold it? Triple bag? or much bigger?

Down 12% now....time for a top up for me

There are various articles out there predicting the long term performance....the Fool change their mind each article depending who is writing it....Ive lost confidence in them when their opinion swings like the wind.....one minute its going to be over £1 this year, and make you a millionaire in 20 years. Next they say some other fashionable stock is a better buy wink

Ok, care to recommend any other media stream to follow on the stocks and shares front?

I have followed fool, is is very fickle, I would be wary of their advice after what I have seen.

I've been in and out of Sirius a couple of times, and made a bit, it's one I keep an eye on as I think it will rise mid to long term in a couple of years as production nears.

I genuinely believe that in a decade the dividend price per share will be more than todays share price.

This will be a huge company. The product is there, there is 100 years of it in place. There is a clearly quite a large infrastructure to put in place over the course of the next few years, but nothing 'that' complicated. I'm sure there will be budget & programme issues, as with most large scale construction projects, but at the end it will be a great, great company.

I have quite a significant holding which I plan on keeping another 10 years, and all my children have circa 50,000 shares each in their ISA's, which I think will be if significant value in 10-15 years when they are likely to be let loose with them, taking into account share price increase and compounded dividend reinvestment.

I dont really follow any particular media, as they all have their own opinion, motives and funding. I read the company financial reports and RNS as they come out. I find rnsalert.com is useful to get near real time RNS updates.

The trading platforms I use have research tools in them, and sites like yahoo finance allow you to create a watchlist, then will list all relevant news articles for stocks in your watchlist, from dozens of different media sources....

You can then read as much as you wish from different sources and form your own opinion..

Same here....been in/out of Sirius a few times since the 8 pence days, and made a few quid along the way trading them.

I do believe in the companies future long term as per Hobo comments above. I think as they reach major milestones it will re-rate significantly.

Thanks, I use google finance but its not as good as it once was. RNS website sounds good, il check that one out.

I do have a good feeling about Sirius, lots of work to be done but massive potential.

I also have Genel Energy, Zioc and Nano in my portfolio at present along with 2/3rds in some funds like Fundsmith

I will see what Sirius's position is like tomorrow, hoping the lower echo's of 20pence and il buy in then

Up over 100% from the lows of last October when they shut-in Icewine2 fro the Alaskan winter..... All starting to gear up again now though with the 3D Seismic being done to help prove up the conventional oil, Icewine2 starting flow testing again, and a possible farmout later in the year.

A lot of anticipation building.

Another good one to look at is VRS - Versarien. These guys are the leaders in Graphene with partnerships with both Cambridge and Manchester universities. They have partnered commercially with McLaren and with the guys who build the luges for the Gold and Bronze medalist's at the winter olympics. They are also setting up a Graphene village with the Chineese.... lot's of scope going forward and dare I say it, unicorn potential.

Yes, very interestingfrown I bought 29,368 shares in 2012 at 16.9p/share. Sold them last week for 0.5p/share. Thankfully, I was able to offset the loss against gains on other shares.

Having said that, they do seem to have resolved a number of financial issues that they had five years ago, and have been coming up with some interesting waste management ideas. Might be worth a punt at the current price, but do your research.

I got a little bit too excited about an AIM share when I first started investing... and now it would cost me more money to sell the shares, than what they're worth.
Remember kids, stay away from AIM, and when things start going wrong, get out.

That's a hell of a position when starting out!
