I know a few people.on here have interest in Sirius Minerals (SXX).
The PM hinted earlier this week that it will be backing the project, and Sirius also today confirmed funding will all be in place by the end of this month, so hoping for a share price heading north soon.
It's currently around 22p, having been up to around 45p in the past (2016) when it wasn't fully procured and fully funded.
Yes, ive been a Sirius investor for over 5 years now, and made a few quid on the ups and downs over the years and now waiting patiently. I saw the news re the PM mention it, so its all good. Hopefully the government will underwrite some of the stage 2 funding. When SXX is in production the stock price could be £1.50, £2, whatever ...its just how much it gets diluted along the way by the way its funded....

Looking for some advice, last Thursday the Flybe shares were 16p per share, yesterday they dropped to 1p as the takeover by Virgin was announced. I assume it's not a good idea to buy any?
At 1p it was, as is now 2.5p. Whether 2.5p is a good buy is anyones guess, but there is certainly a lot of people making good money out of the uncertainties surrounding the company.Hobo said:

Wanted to have my CAKE and eat it.
Bit sobering that a company apparently in a good position has managed to fool so many shareholders - didn’t have my life savings in it, but loss of that little sliver makes you wonder about other apparently strong businesses.
I think the auditors have a lot of questions to answer. Will anyone go to jail of this? seems to have been pure fraud on a massive scale. Anyone care to explain?
Does anyone have shares in Kier?
I hadn't dabbled in shares before but as I work for Kier I'd been following the share price (fall) for a while and decided to buy-in when it dropped to the lowest point around the time of the Rights Issue in December..
I'd not bothered with the employee share programs where you're kinda tied-in for a while, so I bought a chunk via an ISA at 3.85 which was pretty much the lowest point, and it's climbed back to around 5.25 over the past month or so so I'm up about 23% at the mo..
Still all a bit uncertain at the moment as the CEO has just gone.. Would be nice if the price climbed back to the £14 it was a year or so ago

I did exactly the same. I hadn't dabbled in shares before but as I work for Kier I'd been following the share price (fall) for a while and decided to buy-in when it dropped to the lowest point around the time of the Rights Issue in December..

I wouldn't be surprised to see the CFO go next and then I would be expecting to see a reasonable amount of shake up within the organisation.

Yeah I've read on a few sources that the CFO could be next out, or that the new CEO might want to hire a replacement..I wouldn't be surprised to see the CFO go next and then I would be expecting to see a reasonable amount of shake up within the organisation.
Will wait and see, the announcement of his departure doesn't seem to have hit the share price so I'm happy to hold on for a while, I think I bought at the right time as I was only looking for short term gains really, more of a punt than anything..

Risky. I went in at 4.5p this morning then out before lunch at 5.5p having done no research. I was only playing with a days wages though so not too worried!
Bought in twice on the day of the drop (aound 4.0& 2.5 ish sold same day at a little over 4.0 before it dropped again.Had a smug feeling all evening. Should have held tight though
Bought IG on the drop and back up again which balaces out my MTFB and PHE droppers of the day.
