In fact I get much the same thing with Fidelity, though without the doughnuts. It just seems that when you move stuff about, things take a few days and weird anomalies happen. For example I sold a fund recently, but afterwards it was still showing. Tempted to see how many times I could sell it before they found out... then moved the cash to the bank and there was completely random value showing for a while. There's defo a roomful of hamsters in wheels somewhere...
Morning mate

There is a lot involved in selling down the underlying investments and buying the new ones and this does take time (and different times for different investments).

This isn't an IM thing, as you have experienced with Fidelity.

Is the delay not because the shares need to be bought when you decide to join the fund?
Yes, and more so if you are doing a switch as the other investments have to be sold down first.

I still have two IM Optimum Global Growth listed on my doughnut chart, not sure if this was supposed to be fixed, or a fix was being rolled into the update in due course.

Hi mate, PH Recovery is still going in the wrong direction.. any chance of sorting it out hehe
We took it out of reverse gear and it was up 2.49% yesterday.

I can't think why we didn't do this before! biggrin

Do the recent changes in stamp duty apply to IM SIPPS purchasing property?

Freehold, not leasehold.

I like to keep a balance in the SiPP between asset classes. PH Recovery is exciting but it’s good to keep the boring stuff churning away in the background.
My understanding is that this only applies to residential property (freehold and leasehold) and not commercial.

Mel will be able to give you the definitive answer on this mate.

Absolutely correct to keep the diversification in place.

On your previous post, yes that is exactly the case. The holding you are selling down includes an L&G tracker that takes ages to clear and we are looking at an alternative for this as it drags everything else along with it.

There have been a few queries around feeds and timelines for your fund switches so now we have the internet feed set up from the Caribbean Island where myself and Del boy are currently relaxing, I thought I would post an overview.

The time to move funds will vary dependent on where your money is coming from. Some portfolios have more holdings than others and each holding will take a different time to sell down to cash. Your switch cannot be completed until the funds are available in cash to buy the new holding so this timeline can vary from 3-7 days. In some cases this then includes a weekend which can add a delay on our update.
So some of you will have had switches completed while others may still be waiting.
Once the cash is available to buy into the portfolio you are moving to, you will get an update to say this has been done. The feed from that portfolio will be live the following day so your dashboard will update the day after you receive the e-mail.

We are looking at ways to give you additional updates on the progress of switches and include these on your dashboard but the variable nature of the holdings and so the variable timelines to complete the switch are a little difficult to display in a simple format.
We understand that “in progress” for 7 days may not feel like much progress but please rest assured that we are moving your funds as quickly as we can for you.

Following the platform migration and the new portfolio launch we will do a cleanup of the donuts and feed data. The current duplication that some of you see is to keep a track of historical data from previous holdings.

We really enjoy developing new ideas and investment options for you and then try to move quickly to make them available, this will occasional stretch us and cause the systems to creak a little but we are always working hard to make sure you get the service you need.

If anyone needs any additional detail on their account or an update please just drop me a message at nik.burrows@intelligentmoney.com and I will get back to you.

Julian is back with the Pina Colads wink

Regards

Nik

Expect a significant increase over the weekend, as I'm awaiting some cash from a different account and it probably won't be available until Monday. At that point, expect it all to drop.
We will do our best not to disappoint, but as I have said, it is speculative and the value of your investment can fall as well as plummet! biggrin

On my PH Recovery performance chart I have two valuations, the 9th and the 10th, both are the same as my initial investment, so how come it doesn't show the 2.49% up for yesterday, or will I just have to wait until Monday for the feeds to update?

I've added the PH Recovery shares to my Google Finance watch list, can you confirm I have the correct ones please, as there appeared to be a couple of options for some?

Mine has updated. I'm up by 0.24% on PH Recovery by the look of things!

Bonnet de douche!

Now I just need to decide whether to go for the Sunseeker 155 or hang on for the new 161...

biggrin
If yesterday was your first day in it will be up 2.4%, rather than 0.24%.

Of course if you were in on some of the previous down days, then not!

I would hold out for the 161! biggrin

And I am very annoyed Winterflood Securities have a problem with converting this into Sterling for us, so it is still not in PH Recovery.

We are looking at an alternative...

Bizarre, it's listed on the NY exchange and $ denominated.

As part of the new platform updates can the data updates be pulled through on Saturdays automatically? At the moment the price shown on Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday morning is actually the Thursday closing value. I realise nothing happens over the weekend & we shouldn't be frantically price watching but it would be useful to have the values a bit more up to date.

I'm not asking you to disturb anyone to do it manually today by the way.

Isn't everyone else who was in Recovery at the start 2.9% down at the moment?
