I agree, and he doesn't attract the class hatred/leftie jeers that Boris does. I wouldn't be surprised if he stands for PM one day.
I think he is a future PM, been quite impressive so far. My money is now in the PH recovery and equity funds. When will the recovery fund start or has it already started? Hoping to watch my money double each day haha. If it doesn't i've got the blunt pitchfork ready.
It has started, but because of the delay in getting into Royal Caribbean ($ to £ conversion for this holding), the data feed is not yet live. I am hoping to have an update on this first thing this morning.
911pleb can help you sharpen your pitchfork!
Just checked my account this morning.
As a new customer I was a bit lost getting started, but had Nick on hand via email to give some guidance.
It has taken a bit longer than expected for things to be where I expected them to be. Not sure if that is a normal time frame or possibly delayed due to home working or new product launch.
Really impressed with the site layout. Nice and easy to see what is where and how things are doing. Providing all goes well and Team IM haven't disappeared off to Brazil with all our hard earned, I'll add a SIPP later in the year.
One question, maybe a silly one. I'm assuming a fairly short term investment. Is there any thought on how long PH Recovery will take to make us all millionaires?
Thanks

Hi Julian,
Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet, but is the 100% return AFTER fees?

As you well know there is not a 100% return, just the potential for it if the stocks collectively return to pre CV19 prices!
If, hypothetically, this happened over 12 months then you would be denied a whopping 0.67% for our annual management fee!

A fair question....I can see our investments allocated since Monday, but the value hasn't yet changed. Given it is 'just' a number of specific stocks in a certain ratio, I assume you could still add to them, just the 'sell' price would be defined at a particular point in time. I'm sure Julian or Nik will cover it tomorrowMy money is now in the PH recovery and equity funds. When will the recovery fund start or has it already started? I am hoping to get an update of this within the hour (the pricing feed).
Could you expand on the other point please, so I can give a better answer?
Cheers

Welcome to the club!
It can take time for contributions to be processed (a couple of days), Direct Debits can usually take a week for your bank to make the first payments and transfers from other providers vary wildly.
We cannot do anything about this and it is the same everywhere unfortunately.
Glad to hear you like the site layout, we are working on making this even better (broadband speed in Brazil might cause so delays though! ).
No equity investment should be classed as being short term, but PH Recovery has been designed to take advantage of stocks hit by CV19 that could bounce back quickly as things pass. We will then get out of these stocks and place the cash in your ISA/Pension/GIA account for you to reinvest or withdraw (subject to pension rules, of course).
Of course, these stocks may fall further or take much longer to recover. A second wave of CV19 could also have a major impact (and if we can see signs of this coming we will also go to cash).
As I have said, the logic behind PH Recovery is obvious, but markets can be irrational.
The short answer, of course, is this time next year Rodney!
Cheers
Julian

My second piece was musing on the mechanics of any sell action (notwithstanding your point above about any further dip to lock in gains).
Is it as simple as “once company X had doubled, we sell and convert to cash”? Are there other metrics you might chose to use?
Cheers

I switched some money from one of the funds to PH Recovery last Friday.
Any idea when it's likely to complete and show on my dashboard please?
Hi BenAny idea when it's likely to complete and show on my dashboard please?
It should already be showing.
Please contact me or Nik and we will look into this for you.

If it was I wouldn't be investing - a stock could go up by 90%, then return from whence it had come, and the exercise would have been entirely futile. Hence my proposal some time ago for options with different percentages. However that's been replaced by an even better idea, which is that stocks will be sold when IM feel they've had a good run. What that run is nobody knows, but that's what you're paying 0.67% for. It's actively managed, but only once per stock.Hi Julian
Quick question about how the buying process works
Should the individual transactions (PDFs) behind the fund add up to the amount I originally put in? When I add together the total of those PDFs, it's ~5% less than the original amount I put in so just curious where the rest goes? Does it relate to the company which is showing as 'deleted' (which I assume is either pending re-investment, or just delayed in appearing as completed?) - Or a new pool maybe?
Ref the one which shows as deleted, is the fund feed/balance omitting the stake/value of these?
Cheers

Each company will have a different target point, so not all have 100% potential in them and some have more than 100%.
It is all also linked to the time of a recovery. If we can all lock in a fantastic return over a short time period and the future outlook for these companies looks to be threatened, they we will take this return and move to cash (always with the possibility of going back in again at a future point).
So basically it is all about try to extract a high return without letting greed or emotion get in the way. The metrics of this will always remain open.
I must point out that this is all hypothetical at the moment as the data feed is now live and we are all down 4% at the moment.
So I had a word with Rishi Sunak yesterday morning and mentioned there was a big bunch of us on PH who would would really appreciate it if he could introduce some strong measures to get the travel, hospitality and house building sectors pumped back up - and he seem to have listened!
Cheers

Same here, transfer from other IM funds initiated when PH Recovery went live on Thursday, but still showing as "in progress". Maybe it will update with morning feed? No great shakes unless the 100% growth has already happened!
It should be showing and I can't understand why it isn't for you. Try refreshing your screen and if it still not please contact me or Nik.Cheers
