UPDATE

A further 16 days have elapsed with nothing whatsoever from Utmost.

All they have to do is ship my money to another company - the work of 5 minutes.

Disgraceful.

UPDATE

I have today received a letter from Utmost.

Seems they need the following information from the receiving pot;

A letter confirming they you will accept the transfer of the funds

Their bank account details

A copy of their HMRC registration certificate.

Do they think I have this information at my fingertips?

In the time it took to write the letter surely they could have made a call to the other company?

Useless bunch of bone-idle ******!

UPDATE

Just come off the phone to the receiving pot and now it seems the receiving pot need Utmost to send them the fund transfer value before they will send out the info Utmost want!! This is just getting silly.

I asked the lady from the receiving pot if she could call Utmost and cut out the middle man and was told she can't because of GDPR.

Just what do these people do for their fees?

I may just shop around for a new company altogether. I've missed the chance to acquire some "cheaper" units now anyway

Ean - When I started the process back in March, I spoke to the receiving company who just asked me to fill out a few of their forms and they said they would do the rest. They are the experts, not me.

It sounds as if it's the receiving pot (your language) that has dropped the ball and not Utmost on this occasion. Further, you appear to have incurred potential price disadvantage as a result. Are you using as adviser to handle the process for you? If so, you would have grounds for a complaint and a potential route to redress. I cannot comment on the position if you are doing this XO.
Not using IFA.

Following a call to receiving pot in late Feb they told me all I needed to do was fill out a form. They'd send it to Utmost and take it from there.

Trying to talk to Utmost on the phone is hopeless.

I'm now just hoping Utmost don't automatically take my cash pot and buy units with it as the 6 month deadline is fast approaching.

Where was it going to from Utmost? (so we know who to avoid).

Aviva are transferring a pension of mine this week after the request was put in last week ... that’s good service.
Lifesight - Willis Towers Watson.

It's my old Carilion pension pot. When they went pop the funds got transferred.

FINAL UPDATE.

Received a letter this morning from Utmost informing me they had made the transfer on 1 July.

Not showing on my receiving account yet though.

Can't believe it's taken since mid-March to achieve this. Covid or no Covid.

Dismal.

MAYBE NOT THE FINAL UPDATE!

Despite Utmost writing to me to inform me the transfer was made on 1 July, I have just had an email from Lifesight (receiving pot) telling me they are chasing Utmost and if the don't get a reply by 21 July they will (wait for it) "chase them again"

They really are useless aren't they.

I will not be leaving my money with them.

Right, this is it - Final Update.

Yesterday (14 July) I checked my account on-line and the funds are actually there.

That was quick.
