I tried it by spreadbetting couple of months back.

It didn’t really work.
as in the SP went up? or were there other factors that stoppped it being a good trade?
Well I had read a bit on spread betting so went in cautiously. Overall I it was 50/50 with winners losers. I only put £1k in to experiment with, twice they closed my trades because the margin had gone negative and I didn’t have time to top it up.

Sig I sold out yesterday a tad early but calling the top is just luck. I did think it wouldn't go up much today.
I thought Sig (SHI) was a lth tip from this thread to double next year ?

Are the DLAR Rights issue shares (110p) due today?
So I checked on what I could find

"All new shares will be allocated on the 7th of July 2020 or the next business day."

I've contacted 212 to see if they could shed any light, nope, they just said they'd review it.

Anyone else with another broker had their shares issued?
I had a similar issue with TED offer shares. Should have appeared on date X in my account but turned up 2 weeks later. No correspondence from T212 to explain where they were, in the end they blamed IB for the delay but who knows. So it's most likely not you going mad. Best thing is search the T212 support site as someone may already have raised a thread there for this issue.

I’ll be astounded if it doesn’t drop another chunk, the influencers and platforms are dropping them and returning collections.
I think they have been unlucky and many others in the space are a bit sweaty - more to come.

It's typical sheep mentality.

What do people expect when they're paying £5 for something like a dress?

I got mine yesterday, happy they have hung around the 136p mark today. Sold out of AMGO at +16%, DLAR, EQT, TILS and still blue for me.

COST is down an unhealthy amount, better hold them as I do work for them and hope they get back in blue.

ARS is down a bit, VAST less so overall.

Got £1k to “invest/gamble”, depending on RNS tomorrow.

Will keep an eye on AMGO, the rampers on LSE would have you believe a TO is imminent again, if it does go crazy then I may think about it.

Do we think Halfords will go any lower?

People in general don't give a st as long as they can get a bargain.

The point is no signs thus far of modern day slavery an about turn by the times?

As trump says 'fake news'?

Exactly. People think OMG some z list from boring island is promoting this dress for a tenner, I have to have it!!
How exactly does a company make millions in profit when selling items at stupidly low price?
I'm not saying boohoo are responsible as they just go to a supplier and a price is given/agreed but boohoo is a prime example of a company that is on top because its setup to make profit from very low prices.

Amazon is no different with their workers pay yet a bit of bad press barely makes a dent.
The business model of boohoo is great and they understand how to target their audience but their audience are also the epitome of heard mentality.

I rarely buy clothes and never have from boohoo. But in reality, I am guilty of wanting things at the best price without any further thought.

Does anyone think this boohoo storm could end up as the clothing version of #meetoo?

Boohoo can’t be the only UK/EU brands doing this can they?

The world's bonkers. When I was 13, I was working in a golf club kitchen washing dishes for £4.50 an hour and I had more money than any other kid at school. It was epic.

I’m hoping that everyone has indignation fatigue - modern slavery is very real in UK and it is a major issue - I’ve previously been involved in ethical supply chain management and I know that a company like BooHoo will have the systems in place (actually, I think they are probably using a system my company developed) to ensure this doesn’t happen.

However, no system is infallible to fraud and companies that grow fast are more susceptible than many.

It’s right that this is investigated and that systems are improved, however, I hope it’s done in a constructive way and not just some virtue signalling by companies and celebs/influencers.

BooHoo has brought jobs to the UK when most retailers were offshoring to other nations, I personally believe they should be supported for doing this.

Shore capital has issued a sell rating with a target of 261, Liberum has a hold rating with a target of 350. After in-depth analysis and sticking my fingers in the air .. I reckon it’ll hit 370 in the next few weeks. I just don’t see this being a Ratner moment.

Ps. I hope I’ve managed to convey a sense of caring whilst highlighting I have zero moral compass.

Pps. I’m not a vegan!

No one thinks all those Chinese, Bangladeshi, Algerian and Moroccan factories have happy workers skipping around in well ventilated pleasant factories before going out and spending their high salaries do they?

As the focus is on Leicester lest we forget M&S used to manufacturer shirts and underwear there before it going off to Macedonia and the far east due to costs. Next in Enderby outsourced their contact centre to India and although not a BAD building per se and not BAD pay in comparison to some it is still a pretty rubbish environment.

BOOHOO aren't angels and I don't like the vulgar owners but they know the trade and as everyone outsourced to the far east they kept Leicester going. They provided PPE to all factories and have a compliance department. They could do more but so can everyone else.

Fast fashion is here to stay and I am feeling increasingly bullish with BOO. Been monitoring Twitter and Instagram and apart from a few virtue signallers the fake outrage has died down. A few "influencers" jumped ship but no one major. If the Kadashians or the ilk then it would be a different matter. Some idiot from Love Island? Not so much.

With places opening up the demographic will want a new outfit to celebrate. Next etc will come back on board sooner or later.

It may drop in morning, I hope it does as I will be topping up unless I see any significant bad news.

Or am I being a blind fool?
