Cine is fked until people are allowed into cinemas ww en masse.Aa. Is hampered by big business who want to have it cheap and stuff the shareholders, I'm hoping for 40p bid in a months time,I don't think it'll be much higher than that, the update on the 11th may put a rocket up its arse, who knows?
Still holding

For a company the size of the AA and with the liquidity that their shares offer, in my naive view it should operate as a true market - supply and demand.
If the market makers pushed the price down people would buy all the shares they held, the mm’s might then sell shares they don’t own and would then have to bid up the price to fulfil orders thus losing money - I can’t see them doing that very often..
For a share with less liquidity, you sometimes have to call the house broker and ask them to raise the bid shown and hope it generates some interest on the sell side - in that scenario it’s possible to ‘manipulate’ the shareprice but don’t see how you could push the shareprice down. Ignoring spoofing and shorting etc,
The above makes sense in my head, although had a migraine all day so probably doesn’t make sense anywhere else
As to why the sp hasn’t gone up more.... I’m just seeing that as the market not believing an acquisition will be made at a much higher price point..
I’m holding... one of my bigger gambles.. LSE told me it was going to £1.50 - straight after the tree shake, I just need to stay in over the weekend and make sure no one steals my shares on the cheap.

I don’t understand the logic that the sp is being held back by big business wanting it cheap - I know the boards are full of these statements but I don’t understand them.

Make sure to put a really high sell order so the mum's can't use your shares too. For a company the size of the AA and with the liquidity that their shares offer, in my naive view it should operate as a true market - supply and demand.

Big article in the guardian about cinemas. Although some are positive it is clear people are staying away.
No new films means only the devoted will come. Mulan is body blow. Tenet is the key.
For CINE the US is still all but closed and the ones open are restricted to 25% capacity - even then they aren’t filling seats it seems.
I think we could see a sub 30p figure soon.
Meanwhile easyJet, Menzies et al seem to be undoing this weeks gains. Not a surprise with travel seeming to be punished - they clearly want everyone to visit over priced camp sites and over crowded beaches in the UK.
Feeling very annoyed on a number of levels this morning and share prices not helping. Off for a walk !
