FTSE futures showing 3% down currently!!!!
Is that right?
Never seen it show that bigger drop.
Oh fk...

Well at least most of what I have bought is from the first big fall. I'd hate to be holding shares from pre march feb. Will just sit it out a while and instead of my monthly increase from wages hold it for a while in the bank.
I would think there are a load of people with shares they've held for a long time and haven't touched during this period. I know I didn't clear out my holdings.
At least this time we know once the president of the USA changes either one will inject a stimulus package and or make it their first priority. Also the big losers we all know travel/tourism/ transport/ highstreet.
The US markets are looking very different to the FTSE.
Ftse is banking, insurance finance and a load of investment companies with some resources. However whatever the USA does the rest of the world follows. Look at the first stimulus packages, The UK and EU ones only caused a tiny blip. the US one was the game changer.
Point was that there are plenty of US stocks performing relatively well.
Oh I thought we were talking overall as the s&p is down 3.5% and the nasdaq down 3.7% but yeah there are defo winners within that.

More lockdowns should mean the likes of peloton "should" fly upwards

Overall the Dow is at 26,500 vs 29,500 pre-covid

In context, I can't get too fussed about 3%.

The only thing I did right was sell PHE at about 2.70 and put it into something else which didn't go down quite as much.
Yes I'm 30% down on that. Not sure why it went down 11% today as no news etc.

i'm trying ( and succeeding ) in losing a load so you stop moaning i multi bag! i've really screwed up my tils plan why didnt i stick to the plan i laid out on here several times.
To be fair that may be a blessing. As in T212 you'll get the cash for the Accustem shares and keep the TILS shares, and in your other account you'll get both sets of shares. That may still prove to be a better outcome than selling now. No one knows.

From what I understand it’s a lot more than they thought, will be interesting what the SP does tomorrow.... actually nice to get some news like this on a day we have had.

Agreed. Hopefully pleb or tcx will be along to tell us what it really means. I have learnt with these explorers that increasing assets in the ground don't necessarily lead to a proportional sp. It's all about whether you can readily extract those assets and if someone will put the funding up to do so. Otherwise they remain as low value assets in the ground of no use to anyone.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if it fell.

It means,to me at least, ggp continues to be a long term hold, and forget.
Ncm ceo, drilling deeper provides best intercept yet, other areas of interest identified, could be the mre takes longer to prove,as Havieron keeps getting bigger, also ggp ceo, looking to advance other projects, short term sp no concern won't be selling out, this proves the let your profit run theory imho

Marvellous. Makes you wonder if it’s already built in to GGP sp as this “news” has been long expected. I suppose the news is more relevant to GGP sp than newcrest. The negative sentiment in the market and experience to date suggests don’t expect too much. At best a spike then a sharp fall!!

Buying opportunity people... Load up.

Just bought more BP. Barclays still looks cheap. So does Taylor Wimpey.

Buy and hold!

I sadly get the feeling the real buying opportunities will start next year.
