Sold my AA bottled it at 9%, and hammerson are really taking a beating over these past few days
A profit is a profit, but its just starting to come out of the blocks, there is lots of action to be happening in the next 3 or 4 weeks, you must have somewhere better to reinvest the proceeds?

Yes I have a couple of long term investments I'm eyeing up was just freeing the capital to be honest and I'll do the same with hammerson when we get there heard about some IPO and new share allocations in September so I'll wait it out till then

It's an interesting conundrum, 40p was my short-term goal a couple of months ago and anything over that would be great, year target was 70p if they refinance and go it alone they would hit that imo, but I'd be happy with anything over 40p in a couple of weeks time.

They have a hefty weight in my portfolio as do sng, so all in all not a bad day today :-)

Ps Keep an eye on IQE some upside there next week I think

Worked for me. Sounds like PE has systematically abused the AA in the past.

Interesting week. I took a punt on AA on Monday, thanks to whoever posted that tip.

Nice to see SNG chugging along well, lets hope for more soon.

Cheers all & have a good weekend.

Nice one Ding! Decent end to the week for you.

I was hoping in the mid to long term for 80/100p which was always optimistic. 40p would be a decent return - 50p/60p in the next few weeks would be very good.

Very happy at the moment
When you started the original thread a few months ago I went for Aa. Sng and bwng

I've done OK on all 3, if I'd sold off all my dogs and went all in a third on each, oh well Rodders this time next year....
Seriously I'd have been in a much better position than I am but I'm still over 120% up since then so very happy :-)

Carrerra85 will be pissed off as he didn't realise the ethos of the thread.

jph looks after our serious money but once target reached the gambling pot is going across

I think. Lol

Lol your/you're welcome .......
Good end to the day with EUA move up.....only one more top up n I'm happy there
GGP still happy, well in profit, lots of news to come
Avct finally showing signs that it may lol blow all the other covid shares away, been in n out most of them, but the antigen v antibody made more sense to me back then n still does, well in profit
Seeing as we're on vol 2....for what it's worth
Don't worry if you miss a move, don't chase n get spiked, you can't hit them all just make sure when you do get a winner put it to bed
Trading makes money,but virtually everything I've traded,had I held would've made more
Against the philosophy but if you research a share, also bod/personnel and buy into it,it's easier to ignore the noise of occasional daily 5/10% drops
This thread n it's preceding one is so much more dignified than any bb it's a genuine pleasure to read/post
totally this especially compared to lse threads where you dared'nt say anything negative

do you think avct has that much potential - have some but bought high and dont have a lot cw other covid stocks ie would you buy afresh from now?
Don't know if I've 'fallen for the hype' but didn't sell at £2.05,so current sp I still see a fair gain....news is starting to come ref agreements and jv's so if they get acceptance for the test, reckon it could go like ncyt when it hit £5 a share, just have a slight doubt after AS said no need for placing in a webinar, then raised £45 million, can see why they did it,fund cancer/ other research off sp hyped over covid, reckon it's a fair bet,but I bought in early so well in profit, like eua,orcp.....waiting on the rns that blows it up?

smile I was wondering earlier if I should do the calculations to see how much I’d be up if I only backed the three top winners... decided not to torture myself... 120% up is a great result!

My plan (as much as I have one) is to put the proceeds (assuming there are some) from this into IM and also a couple of private investments. Already have some in IM - PH Equity, PH recovery and another one which I always get the name wrong..

If you do that, be sure to calculate where you’d be if you’d only backed the 3 biggest losers too... if your portfolio is anything like mine, that will keep you somewhat more sane!

Very true, could all go tits up.

The FT article was interesting, sounded like Albert Capital with 18% wanted a higher price than the 40p to 50p range - since then Apollo have indicated they are interested in bidding.

Overall an increase in the amount paid per share will have a limited impact on the price paid overall when you consider debt.

Could get very interesting - or, they could all drop out and we suffer from a rights issue or some kind of debt for equity swap.

If they do all pull out, the company will have refinanced the debt anyway and that's what's been weighing on the sp. So not disastrous but as you say a few pence on the sp doesn't mean a great deal wrt the debt any purchaser would be taking over, so shareholders are in quite a good position imo.

Going to be an interesting few weeks
