Smith & Wesson doing well again today.
BEEM also doing well, just need XPEV to start picking up.
QuantumScape has also bounced off a big drop.BEEM also doing well, just need XPEV to start picking up.
It did remind me of the statement that 90% of gaps close so maybe it would be a good buy. I had a skim and saw something that they're going to release extra shares. Didn't really bother to read into whether anyone's actually using their batteries. But with exposure to XPEV, BEEM and Nikola I felt I had enough going on in that sector.

I suspect, but I've not validated the theory, that of the RIs announced on my holdings I would have been better off selling my existing holdings at the point of announcement and buying on the day of the share issue (assuming the volume would have been there to make the purchase).
That's precisely what I'm thinking, sell now.ferrisbueller said:

The product looks interesting. My issue is that they need to make an agreement with a car producer to supply and I haven't seen that yet.
It seems that there's lots of battery producing companies out there with agreements already. Maybe one of the lagging manufacturers which isn't 100% focused on EV (GM, Ford, BMW, Mercedes etc.) will decide it's easier to buy out someone rather than pump billions into R&D to produce batteries themselves.

What happened today ? (Imagine your telling it to a small child) my Stan Chart woke up after years in a coma.
OPEC and Russia agreeing to limit oil supply until March (Brent $54.47), Democrats to control US Senate enabling an effective presidency (and further fiscal stimulus). Brexit deal "done". Other than that, positive sentiment ? Maybe the concerns re. UK financial services in a post Brexit Europe have abated/been resolved.
Anyone else ?
Might it also be institutional investors reopening positions after closing these for year end.

Problem is it is almost too good. Thursday afternoon sell off? what do we think?
Edited to add sunpower up 24% just now. I never like big rises like that in my long term holds.
Yes agree. I don’t mind a steady tick up of 2% on portfolio, when it jumps more than 5% I feel a sell off coming. Did get hammered a few times in December but overall up 35% since May last year. Edited to add sunpower up 24% just now. I never like big rises like that in my long term holds.
