oh i am, anything thats ramped up super quick, like Game stop, i stay away from and just purchased some shares in stuff ive been following for a whilst (all up 33% roughly since i followed them last summer time, all involved in 5G), but someone else i know suggested them and the graph looks like its been steady.

as for chucking money away, didnt you just buy shares in a drinking establishment that probably wont receive any punters for another 6 months laugh or is there money going to be made in buying up all the empty properties and waiting the boom times again?
That’s an outrageous slur!

I’ve bought shares in TWO drinking establishments that may not receive any punters for 6 months.. smile

I’m hoping they can take advantage of lower costs, pent up demand and availability of distressed assets... as a hedge, if the virus keeps mutating and we’re locked down for another year, I’m hoping they’ll give me free use of a few bars.. for legitimate business purposes obviously...

It's done a few 100% gains (and 50% losses!) since last year and the covid crash. It had a almost 10x higher price before covid. It's getting near the tipping point of going one way or the other. If they are allowed to trade again then 3-4x seems very doable quite quickly. What they got in trouble for will mean they will be curtailed more going forward and so less profit but also should be less risk of future malpractice and compensation. There is obviously a risk of not being allowed at all and people losing it all?

I have previously dipped in but currently have none...........my thoughts are that they will be allowed to carry on as then those due some recompense will get it, if they are forced out of business they won't or will get far less........the general outlook everywhere is seemingly propping up/refinancing all big business, this one has no monetary need (afaik) just needs to be set free so to speak, with future profit taking being used to enhance/fulfill compensation claims. These are my thoughts I still currently have none though.......but I'm very risk adverse.......toying with popping a small sum in. I really don't see the overall benefit in having them cease trading completely, I do however see onerous conditions placed on them for a time ie so they are seen to not 'get away with it'?
Cheers for that.
Scooter makes some good points. I think the bod have played it very well - quite aggressive which is unlike most boards.

The FCA could push them into administration but what will they gain from ensuring people lose their jobs and claimants don't receive any redress - difficult line to tread.

It's definitely a gamble... whether it's a 'put it all on red' gamble, or a 'stick it on 00' gamble' I'm not sure... Probably somewhere in the middle... ie. not 50/50 but not 35/1..

I Love Cake, you just beat me to it.

FCEL up 22% today. That's 739% since I bought it at the end of July, with a small top up at the end of December. A bit over £11K invested, now a bit over £95K... lick

BTW, we just had a Lidl coffee and walnut cake for tea. Not bad at all for supermarket bought! That's another lick
Congrats buddy - that’s a great result!

4D Pharma

Anyone here still in 4D Pharma? It sounds like when the Nasdaq listing happens there will be a 13% dilution, is that right? Does this company have any decent prospects?

I bought a small amount today but thinking about going bigger.
I keep meaning to go back in thinking they might go up when they join the Nasdaq ( although maybe not if there’s a dilution?) Think they have amazing prospects although not sure there’s anything immediate on the horizon -haven’t looked for a bit
I’m still in, up 133% - must admit I’ve not been tracking them since the original tip.

The really sad thing is 40 year old men who should know better doing the same.
If your only contribution to this thread is to criticise those of us that frequent it then frankly you can fk off
There is enough bullish excitement here that we can afford one bear (and nothing Condi has said is wrong, its just been a bit blunt)
I would just rather he didn’t refer to myself as a porn star, I’m more an enthusiastic amateur smile

Shorting will not kill a healthy company. Personally I draw no distinction between unfounded short attacks and the similar promotion of stocks on the upside which is just as likely to cause hype and FOMO resulting in a price spike before the near inevitable crash. You can see it in some of the names people like in this thread. EUA, GGP, AMGO, SYME, CINE for eaxmple. It wouldn't surprise me if 4/5 of these are a 1/3rd of their current price in 12 months time.
I value what you say ego. I'm in 4 of those you listed as long term holds (not CINE). Right now I don't agree with yoru prognosis but I may well be wrong. Please remind me of this prophesy in 6 and 12 months time. It will be fascinating to see if you were right.
Pah... only 4 of those 5? I thought you liked a gamble Mike? smile

I’m in all 5.. what do I win?

I can guarantee that Amigo won’t be a third of its current price in 12 months time... it will either be zero or significantly higher..

Syme probably not too dissimilar... will either be unearthed as a giant Ponzi scheme or will revolution finance... now I say it like that I’m probably more confident of the former..

Cine I reckon will probably drop lower than where it is now but will rebound strongly..

EUA and GGP I don’t know too much about however they were tips on here which means someone has done detailed research, right?

why the rise today? is it the perceived ability to buy more distressed locations?
I’m not sure there is too much logic to it - there was a large investor who wanted to invest at IPO but had to pull out at the last minute. I know they were keen to buy in, it could be that or could just be people buying into the notion that bars will be open again.

The ability to lease locations at good prices should have been built into the ipo price.

I bought in thinking it wasn’t a cheap share (unlike RBG at the time), I’m surprised it’s risen so much so quickly. Still think the long term prospects are great however thought they would need to show results (and actually be serving customers) before the sp tripled.

Having NGHT fomo, what price did you guys get in?
I was lucky and managed to put a decent chunk in at 10p pre-ipo.

It’s a difficult buy now - definitely not cheap and a lot more downside risk.

However they have an amazing management team and Sarah can generate a lot of media interest, as well as open doors for the business.

The Mexican punt is looking shaky today!

Up and down like a wes drawers and generally a bit of a down trend on the day...

I guess that has been the same way for a while but I did think we were flattening and beginning to turn the corner over the last couple of weeks.

Will ride her for a while and see what happens. Any good news (or rumour) and it could reverse quickly.

I think it fits as a "gamble" quite nicely [grits teeth]
For me the price until the soa court case is all a bit irrelevant. On that day the price will go to zero or soar. from now til then it's just going to wobble all over as people either lose their nerve and sell or jump in as a pure gamble.

As I said yesterday I sold 1/3 of mine to a level if I lose it all it's not the end of the world but if it soars then great. Suggest you make sure you're happy with the posibility of a total loss too as it's nip and tuck which way it will go right now.
Definitely a gamble.. don’t think even the rampers on the LSE could argue that, although they probably would try..

I bought some more yesterday after saying I wouldn’t.. a couple of my gambles have down well recently so thought I may as well chance my luck..

I did ask to speak to their CEO last week... they told me to bugger off smile

Out of interest how do you guys and gals pick your 'big gamble' stocks you want to invest in? Do you find bits of info from sites like Twitter, LSE etc etc.. because the conclusion I've come to in the past couple of days of having a play is that unless you are spending a lot of time into research it's a bit like throwing darts at a dart board. Genuine question because I've found it quite fun this last couple of days having a 'dabble' but my day job has suffered and my eyes are going square.
I watched a Robert kiyosaki video with raoul pal and they pretty much said the entire stock market is over priced and non sensical.

The prices stocks go for aren't backed up by the companies financials because people are just buying because they've read something or there just bored and have spare cash.

For these gamble stocks i treat it as a pure gamble but i do follow a theme ie green energy and cannabis.
Bugger... just realised I’ve been following the wrong person, I’ve been listening to RuPaul - although be fair, even they wouldn’t have invested in Syme..
