Any opinions on HCMC they have dropped massively on the news that Philip Morris has requested the case against them be dismissed, could this be worth a punt at this level now?
I'm in a lot higher than it currently is, mainly as there is so much hype there's no telling if in a year it'll be pumped again...with the case likely to drag on, that's a positive in my eyes, and they've also got a patent I like the sound of for a biometric vape lock.

It's definitely a gamble.

I have MNZS. MNG, RPS, and COST all showing as having earning reports Mar 9th (and RR. 11th).

COST is full year results. Perhaps there's some buying pressure into this - but hard to know how the market will react to good or bad performance. There is talk about companies being able to offset losses against prior three year gains - not sure if COST would benefit from this.

I'm going to sound like an LSE'er - but it does feel like GGP is being played with.

scratchchin might be tempted to chuck a few quid in, what you thinking as an exit price if the SP starts heading north?

I'm in for quite a bit at a higher price than the current one.

The case dismissal is probably just a stalling tactic.

In amongst the dross and the to-the-mooners on Stocktwits, there is the odd bit of responsible news here and there.

The law firm representing HCMC is allegedly one of the better firms in dealing with patent infringement - I can't locate it at the moment but about a week ago, there were reports of an announcement from PM stating that they would be having to set money aside to deal with patent claims against them and they have also - again allegedly - hired a team that specializes in mergers and takeovers.

At the current price, I may well add to my holding this afternoon but yes, in the spirit of the thread, pure gamble.

As to exit price who knows? At one stage a week or so back, Yahoo Finance had a 1 year target of $6, which is mind-blowing.

I haven't checked Yahoo since and in the short term, probably won't.

Have Costain done any rights issues or similar over the last 12 months. I'm getting some odd numbers for market cap pre-covid Vs now.

Just sold some of my KAZ minerals shares. Didn't really want to but thought i'd play it a bit safe.

Some company has been trying to acquire them and originally made a lowball offer and it was turned away. They've bumped up the offer to £7.80 but price is currently at £8.37 indicating the market doesn't like it.

However, there's a corporate action to either accept the offer (why would you?!?) or do nothing. Of course, i'm not accepting the offer but a part of me was worried that somehow the deal will be accepted and i'll be losing out profit.

In my opinion it should be worth £10+ but have been shafted before on things like this (SXX).

I think that's highly unlikely. Even a $1 valuation would give them an enormous market cap. That said, either number would be very welcome; I'm sitting on 400k shares bought at 0.002.

Based on my research, they seem like a good long term hold. Brick and mortar locations, diversified across vaping, heath foods, and others, and patents that might yield a good payout from PM. I am hoping for 0.1 by the end of the year.

is it possible to buy physical silver or gold linked stocks?
Quite a lot are on the Canadian exchange (I like most that Sprott have backed/bought into), Hochschild is a UK listed silver miner.

If you like them as a long term play many think they are cheap right now, not really exciting/thread worthy, unless one turns into the next EUA or GGP!

My cost to deal has reduced from £11.95 to £5.95 today so happy with that!

Just bought back into CBX @ 16.719p for a gamble.

I assume that is through HL? If so well done on trading 20+ times last month lol

I was tempted in averaging down after my diabolical purchase on Friday where I didnt stipulate a limit on the Fill trade and ended up buying at almost 27p! However despite the buy price at 16p I wasnt able to get anywhere near it frown

Yes sorry, HL. CBX is a pure play stock IMO, if it goes up this week I'll sell, if it goes down or stays at around my cost I'll hold it in hope of one day it comes alive.

So gutted I sold my AMGO on Friday for approx 11.8p. What a plonker frown

I got some CBX as well at 16.91p for a gamble amount.

Also topped up GGP & VLS.

Everything else is flying up. IAG AMGO doing me proud today.

It was very tempting. Assume you took profit? In which case, better in your pocket.

I'm still in, ~125% up, but share price bouncing around a lot as usual.

I would say that it looks like there is a big buyer in the background with the way the spread is moving but I am no expert.

Would be interesting to get another TR1 at some point today.

However, having caught up with ADVFN (may have been a bit quick to say there are less loons on there) and LSE over the weekend, I do wonder if the buyer isn't (directly) JPM and they're buying on behalf of someone who is trying to get on (or back on) the board e.g. Benamor.

Don't think that would be a good thing when the positive momentum seems to be with the new board/decisions/messages.

I predicted on Friday we'd get a load of PR over the weekend and more PIs would enter to prop up/push on the price... but it looks like more than that.

Interesting, thanks.

I made approx 40-50% return in a couple of weeks so grabbed it and ran. I was in two minds to only taking out my initial investment and leaving the profit to bake. Oh well. If it drops again (I honestly don't think it'll go back to where i sold - 11.8p from memory) I'll jump back in for the ride smile

Adam.

it definitely is not, American banks are subject to Volcker rule, they cannot take proprietary positions (ie bet in the game), so it will be a client of theirs
