Thought you owned a sizeable chunk of iDP?
I do and when the SP gets to where I think it should get to then it should hopefully be in the top 3.

AMGO: Had a little chuckle at a comment on the lse board.

Someone suggested the reason was that the Judge had bought in!
Lol - That must be almost peak LSE!

Can’t believe it’s end of April already!!!

Annoyed I missed out on AMGO but watching to see if it drops. 13p would be ideal but anything under 18p would be lower than my last sell out.
Nice rise for another day.
Had a few that I sold out at 18p, glad I held onto the rest.
Just gotto put a limit on, but unsure of where it is going to (no LSE 'to the moon' quotes please)...
If the vote passes then I wouldn’t be too surprised if the price goes to 100p+, if it doesn’t then the only lower limit is 0p..

To infinity and beyond!

One reason I ditched all my AMGO at about 6p or whatever it was a few months back (aside from the fact I thought the risk of losing everything at that time was too high for my risk appetite) was that I couldn't see AMGO getting their sp back to anywhere where it was previously because: (1) as I understand it their days of being able to lend at 50%+ interest rates are over, so less net profit to be made and (2) they would be in the same crowded market as many other vendors with the same lending criteria as them from now on (20% ish p.a.).

So I thought they may survive but won't be anywhere near as profitable as they were. So why take the risk of losing everything with AMGO rather than invest in one of the other low end market lenders that exist now and don't have their issues?

I do agree AMGO will see a big bounce is successful in court and thus far they have been successful .... gutted I missed out on the rise over the last few months! It's still not where I bought in last year 25p or something like that. Good luck to those still in.
All good points - getting back to 200 to 300p would be amazing but probably very unlikely.

I think they’ll still push the rates they charge, they’ll just have to be tighter on the affordability checks. Obviously a mute point if they go bust.

Amigo is peak gamble I reckon!

One thought that you have provoked GPH, if the Judge doesn't approve it, the Board could then go away and revamp the offer/vote. The Judge/FCA may be relying on that option although they cannot obviously collude to come to that conclusion. The only draw back to that is the 25th June date for Amigo to repay some money to the securitise lenders if they decide they want it back..
That's right something like £100m was due last month and the Bond holders extended the deadline and apparently Amigo's QC did not tell the Judge this which is a shocking lapse.
So the Bond holders are not a charity. Why should they give their money direct to these customers, who all knew what they were signing.

They owe them nothing so will do whatever is in their own financial interest and if that means pull the plug before their money is given away then they will do it in an instant. If they think the company continuing is in their interest in the long run then they could agree to give up some of their money but that is what everyone including the Judge is now guessing about.

That is what Amigo should have been impressing on the Judge and that is why, if he got that message, he can not assume there is more money in the pot and has to decide on the facts as presented to him.

They state that it is this deal or nothing.

It's a game of bluff which is not how the law should operate but sometime does.

So if the proposal was done fairly he has no choice but to approve it. (But of course he might see things differently as the legal world sometimes does! wink

In fact the letter from the Financial Ombudsman is exactly as the Judge will be looking at it. They stated they approved of the scheme but it was not their place to say if the contents were sufficient. the Judge's ruling should be the same I think.
This is a big point in Amigos favour

Good luck!

Unless that Bond Holders info was in the documents the Judge had to hand yes, a big omission.

Think I may need to borrow that wheelbarrow...
We may need to share, I’m in relatively heavy here..

Fingers and everything else crossed!

Can I request that if you’re not naming a stock in your first line that you preface your post with the code. If you step away from the thread you sometimes have to scroll back quite a way to discover what’s being discussed due to several nested quotes. Quite easy to assume you’re discussing one stock when it’s actually another. Hope this is a sensible improvement?? Like:

EUA - isn’t some news due midweek?

EQT - this is going to 3p soon
A very sensible improvement.

Hello,

Haven’t been on for a bit - hopefully someone is looking after the wheelbarrow and that calls of fk You Babcock still ring loudly!

My Mexican ex continues to be troublesome, she’s so difficult and unpredictable I’m starting to think that she’s ginger... no offence to any strawberry blonde pistonheaders out there but you know what I mean.. I was up well over 200% but now only up about 5%.

Nightcap released some great results today, I’ve been touring a few of their bars (I do it for you guys, you can thank me later) and the ones I’ve been to have all been heaving.

Revs has dropped back due to placing however I think will take off at the next update, they are trading strongly across the estate - if you follow a few of their area managers on LinkedIn then they’ll occasionally give mini trading updates which all sound positive and ahead of expectations. Obviously we have June 21st to come but regardless I think these guys will do well.

Alpha Growth that I’ve been banging on about for over a year rocketed from 1.5p to 8p ish.. they’ve dropped back to 5p at the moment however have a scheduled update due in a few weeks - they also have a major bit of news which is overdue, assuming that goes to plan it could be transformational.

My top 5 gainers percentage wise are :

N Brown - up 281%
FUM - Up 251%
Alpha Growth - Up circa 240% (circa as shares are held across different platforms and I’m too lazy to precisely do the sums)
Nightcap - Up circa 230%
Superdry - Up 202%

My top 5 losers percentage wise are :

Hemo - down 55%
Petradiamonds - down 44%
SNG - down 39%
EQT - down 22%
HBR - down 21%

If I had to choose one share as a multi bagger but still definitely a gamble share... I’d go for Alpha Growth. Tons of potential, this year has already been transformative and I’m confident that the rest of the year will see them grow significantly.

I wouldn't be surprised by a short dip on the bar shares on Monday - however I think they will be some of the best performers over the next few months. RBG and NGHT are trading well, even with current restrictions - lots of liquidity and might even help them pick up additional bar groups and/or locations.

We are closing this thread and moving onto Vol 4.
