I didn't buy enough TED (obviously) - but Indestructible Focus's mention 8/4/2021 is now +50% as at today. Nice one.
Yep, good call on Ted
No worries guys you're welcome!

I'll be on the look out soon for another.
Blowing that trumpet,I've called some breakouts this past year, chris you owe me a track day. laugh
Sure, that sounds like a good idea. In 14 years when the money is released from my SIPP we should sort something out smile

Tis a good day. My Investec holding just keeps on giving at the moment.
INVP was one of my more frustrating shares last year - just wouldn't hold any gains. It's been trickling up rather nicely - I'm just under +80% now, despite averaging up in March smile

Haha I've got an idea, a trip with stagecoach on a costain built bypass, with a bag full of cardfactory products and ted baker gear on. When the day trip ends off on a cruise with saga. hehe

And a party bag of IDP products for the evening.

I alluded, some pages back, that I think psychedelics are going to be huge at some point in the near future, in the treatment of anxiety, depression and associated mental health disorders.

One such company I highlighted, Small Pharma (ticker DMT) began trading on the TSXV today, so I have thrown a few thousand into my SIPP with a view to adding substantially further on any drops.

I don’t see this as an overnight win, as you’ll know biotech moves incredibly slowly at times through clinical trials and no revenue streams, but I have an inkling this area of medicine and research could offer plenty of rewards over the next 5 years or so, plus it’s something I firmly believe in as a therapy 100%, so it’s win-win for me!
That does sound very interesting for the future.
Which platform are you using to buy DMT?
Hi @thesyn

I’m buying these via my Interactive Investor SIPP.

https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2021/05...

I am most excited about their PART B (Phase IIa) human trial in DMT for depression set for this summer, which I’m extremely hopeful is going to be successful - https://www.smallpharma.co.uk/our-clinical-trials

This will get huge coverage soon.

In terms of value and share price, it’s very difficult to assess at present. If I compare DMT to DDDD (where I hold a substantial amount), the former currently looks expensive given its relative infancy vs the latter which has already undertaken and got superb clinical results in the micro-biome space but is not really revenue producing yet until they hit the jackpot.

The biotech space is really suffering at present so this is why I plan to build my position in DMT slowly, in order to achieve as low an average as possible.

As ever, DYOR etc, this is purely my opinion rather than financial advice!

A big thank you to whoever tipped TED on here.

Any other recovery plays left? Asking the group collective. Ha!
Costain and BP I'd probably say. I'm moving more towards trading ranges now such as glencore/direct line or just buying oversold stocks on rsi indicator.

Market looking very strong of late not alot of cheap sectors left if any. Shame we have a had a great run the past year.
Very much appreciated, thanks. I have been on the fence about BP for a while. If my business picks up, I will buy some.

I'm a big fan of gold miners but you have to believe in gold for it to work. For me they are paying 5% and 6% div so happy to collect that longterm to see if gold rises.

Bit like my ADOM, bought after a recommendation here in January, absolute garbage. Serves me right for simply following a tip with no research.

BCN

Odd why BCN still trading at 57p when an offer at 67.5p may hit on 3rd June, with deal to complete before eoy. If I had spare cash I'd be buying more.

strangely it not being at 67p or there abouts is stopping me buying more but also from selling what I have at current nice 30% profit.

The potential purchaser has til 3rd June to put in an offer, until then there is no guarantee the sale will take place so maybe that is what is holding the sp back.

That said this is Ganseng's opening offer, I can't see why they would pull out now. Of course shareholders may refuse whatever offer they put in and then they either raise their price or no sale take places. It may draw in other offers too if other countries fear the Chinese getting this asset.

That said it has at least placed a value on the asset of 67.5p so not sure why the sp hasn't got closer to that.

As a speculative gamble on how this could pan out if I had spare cash I'd buy a lot more.

Yes if I'd just held everything I bought last May I'd be 100-200% up now.

That said can you imagine holding SHI (SIG) since May last year you'd be bored to tears, day in day out sat at 30p...
I bought some SIG off the back off this thread in... (just checked) apparently it was May 2020! And up 98.98% as of just now. I'm happy with boring!

I also bought Cineworld at the same time and sold a while later for 20% or thereabouts. But then got fomo about a month ago and bought at the ATH, so currently sitting on a 15% loss. I wish I'd just hung onto that since May, would have been 300% or something now.
Yeah I held SHI for 9 months and got bored witless so sold... just before they went up. Same with CINE.

Despite buying for all the right reasons, I got bored and sold before these recovery stocks recovered. Kicking myself now. Well done you holding on, I have learnt that lesson the hard way that if you believe in why you bought then you need patience to reap the reward.

No trouble at all.

Just saw there’s going to a BBC documentary broadcast on 19/5 which will be extremely revealing as to the benefits of this particular treatment over prescription drugs - https://www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/proginfo/2021/19...
