Been in for a couple of years now, looking at the numbers below is much more comforting than the current short term performance of PHE yikes

The current performance seems a bit of a first world problem.

Is that PHE growth number since inception of the fund (iirc, late 2019)?
Don't think so.
I jumped in fairly early on, & from 7th July '19, mine shows 21.68%
it'll be Camron Diaz having a giraffe - my guess its a dividend gone in after removing the rest of the funds and Cameron calculates that as a big win winkbiggrin.

My PHE is currently showing +26% (on the 24p I have left in it).

How much did PHO dip today. I don’t have the weightings, so my primitive all sticks equal track says over 6%, and 1.7 for PHE

Fingers crossed for a bounce back

Question for IM..

I want to sell in full my PHO holding in each portfolio (x5). I was about to initiate the switch this morning (before 9am) from PHO to Index100 but just wondered if it would of completed before the 'rebalancing' which is due to complete on 8th Feb? I've obviously now missed today's window so my next chance is tomorrow morning (26th Jan). How long will it take to complete if actioned tomorrow morn (26th, before 9am)? Cheers

My growth figures continue to rise despite the actual value going down. I've given up trying to figure out why, I can't see the real-world relevance of the figure.

Surely that's an effect of what the value was when it was bought? Those that got in on day 1 suffered a loss at some point. If another investor happened to invest at the lowest point of that loss, their gain would be greater - unless Cameron Diaz has anything to do with it?

Given an hour has now passed and the phone has not stopped ringing - so I haven't even been able to make a start yet, you might just have a point mate! hehe

Have faith, I will complete the task ahead! biggrin

For a slight tangent, I love the donuts, I love how I’m treated to random colours.

However… 2 shades of poo brown, are they maybe colour coded to the performance of my portfolio? hehe

I say, we’ll done. I haven’t been subjected to that colour combo yet. Do I need to upset someone? laugh

A case study in irrational behaviour.

Microsoft went into it's earnings call last night at $288, having taken a 15% hit since the start of the year. They announced record revenue and earnings-21% higher than last years quarter. The stock immediately fell 5% to $273 (after hourss.

CNBC interviewed two 'analysts' live whilst the stock was falling.

One said 'yeah the market is punishing a bad story' Bad asked the host-they grew 21%. Yeah, they beat earnings but they normally beat by 3% and this is a 2% beas. The analyst went on to say this is bad news
Analyst two said, 'I'm a buyer at these levels, a phenomsnal result, MSFT are crushing it.s
The earnings announcement is then followed by a conference call where the company executives discuss the results and give guidance plus Q&A. This is usually 1 hour after the headline numbers are released. The company guided even higher for next quarter. The stock reversed the losses and net we are up 12% today from $273 and hit $308 (high) today

The takeaway being, humans behave irrationally and some analysts have an agends. This one in particular analysts upped his target on MSFT to $400 on Jan 6, 2022! And when asked whether his firm had a position he said 'we are not long but have a conflict'. i.e they were clearly shorts. Next week he will love the stock again

Microsoft quarterly growth by segmentss

I'm glad that someone on here understands what's going on.

So .... so what? This is good news? Bad news? We'll have lost the shirt off our backs by lunchtime tomorrow, or we'll be holidaying in the Seychelles with Champers and dancing girls by this time tomorrow evening?

confused

If your poo is that goldy colour then it's not a wealth manager you need it's a doctor. Because you have hepatitis. wink
