And this, I think, is the most fascinating thing about this whole get rich quick scheme. People seem to genuinely believe that buying crypto is just like buying shares in an actual business - that it has value in of itself rather than in the ponzi sense of continually needing the next round of buyers to just unquestioningly believe he/she will get rich quick too.

Remarkable. smile
You have it the wrong way around. People buying crypto don't believe they're buying into the same context as stocks and shares.

However, people buying stocks and shares thinking they're buying a piece of the companies assets and an influence on the companies future, and that those share prices are driven more by those assets and the companies profits than they are by sentiment and market manipulation is probably what is more remarkable here.
I literally quoted someone who had said exactly this! laugh

Dear oh dear oh dear.
You quoted me dumbass! biggrin

And that's definitely not what I said.

Looking like we might see sub $30k this weekend.

Last couple of months we seem to have this curious weekend dip that lasts till late Sunday afternoon.

Wonder what all the shop keepers who got paid in Bitcoin yesterday are thinking, and all the people who moved their cash into Bitcoin over the last week?

They are probably wishing they had a condi in their lives right now. Tell them how to make money properly and all that.

Can I just say that I am am deriving huge pleasure from reading this thread; watching clueless idiots arguing about things they have no idea about is always a good laugh. And it hardens my determination to have nothing whatever to do with Dunning-Krugerands.
Where’s your expertise from then? I think that there’s at least two people on the thread who are professional traders in a bank.
Probably using software that I wrote. I worked in, on and around City Trading Floors for over 20 years.

I had to look that up, but liked it.

What's your take on things ?

Doing the software and being on the floor must give you some interesting insights into patterns and underlying premises?

Genuine interest!

It's funny how many said things are cheap when they on the up, on the down you don't hear many say when the reality is better returns if the market turns.

Yes, I "made" my money buying Ethereum when it dropped back to $100. It's fill your boots time when the market is dropping if you believe in crypto.

This may not be the bottom but one can always cost average every week/month/few months etc.

So we're back to crypto being the preferred choice of criminals and money launders?

And you wonder why governments will never let it happen?! Because of the exact example you have just provided.
No we are talking about the article you quoted which begins "If you are doing crime...". Please keep up biggrin
Haha-condi. The fake wannabe trader. Don’t worry dimots, he’s a wee fibber is condi. Just envious smile

The guy is so stupid he goes from claiming million quid bonuses (where he has the time to post) to adding about renting a one bed in Peckham.

Googled "FCA Binance" top result is https://www.fca.org.uk/news/news-stories/consumer-...

"Binance Markets Limited is not permitted to undertake any regulated activity in the UK. This firm is part of a wider Group (Binance Group)."

An exchange that has it own coins is always going to be a bad thing.
