Hi Luke
Think they said Q2 was target so must be soon.
Do you know how SPAC process works? I know it has to be voted on but can you still trade shares after the vote is announced? Or are shares suspended?
Q2 was the target but think the SEC are asking for amends to be done. Don't know a huge amount about the process though. Think they said Q2 was target so must be soon.

RE might it drop below $10? Very possibly in the near term, but a good safe bet long term. Lucid and Fisker etc are way behind in terms of the numbers they'll be delivering, as I'm sure you know.
Did you get any ARVL in the end?

IIRC a date is set for the completion and ticker change and trading continues. There is a window where you can return your shares for the $10 but I can't remember when that is exactly relative to the ticker change.

I like the product and I like the numbers, though they are going to be impacted by supply chain issues just like everyone else.

Didn’t believe the futures today so kept my shorts for Spx and nasdaq open and bought a big wedge (for me) of Uk:Sark - 3xinverse arkk) before US open at $11.78.
Arkk totally tanked so I’m 17% up on that today alone.
Up 12% on nasdaq short too but only have 5% of pf in each position max.
Chinablue chemical hasn’t benefited from the China rate cut and dropped but it’s got a big dividend at month end so I’m hanging around for that. It’ll get paid in hkd $ so bugger all I can buy with it

My thinking is all tech is tanking and this is being artificially held up.
It may jump when announcement and date comes out so I can hold until then at current $10 (I am down 33%), as long as I can trade out after that potential spike.
The if it falls below $10 I can buy back in, as I agree it’s a good LT prospect.
Assume that be possible?

Did you close off the shorts? I've seemingly ended up long on the index and been getting trashed for most of the week. Arkk totally tanked so I’m 17% up on that today alone.

Seems to have bounced a little in the last hour or so.

No, that’s the annoying thing about having to short via uk instruments in my sipp. I effectively have to decide by 4:30 uk what I think the us will do in the evening so I got to watch it tank and then recover Seems to have bounced a little in the last hour or so.
I didn’t expect quite the ramp back to zero at US close so my shorts are still open. Depending on futures behaviour between now and Monday it might trim 2-5k off what I would make.
I’m still comfortably up on them all though. Expecting to sell around 8% up on Sark, 3-5% on spx and 5% sqqq.
I’ve actually set a buy order for long SPX and QQQ for Monday as I think we’re going to rally for a bit now.
Feels like bear rally coming so I’ll close them first thing Monday.
Still managing drawdowns as the main aim so far…shame that with inflation even treading water is losing 10%
Green is me, blue is ftse, red is obviously nasdaq!

In case you fancied a punt, biotech getting a bounce from monkeypox.
Specific antiviral owned by SIGA who have already jumped up by god knows how much in the last few days.
Think I’ll still have a punt though come Monday open.
