Hi

I'm considering a BTL for a family member and understand that I would need a regulated/family BTL product.

They don't seem to be at all mainstream so wondering if anyone on here has any experience, or perhaps knows a good broker who could advise me?

I appreciate the rate is a bit higher but will I be able to borrow similar amounts to a normal BTL for example.

There are no issues with the finances or dependability of the family member in question.

Cheers

Is the family member on housing benefit? If so you may not get paid as it could be a contrived tenancy.

Then of course there is the Golden Landlord Rule #1: Never ever ever rent to family of friends.
