What cut backs have you made recently?

Neighbour has got shut of their dog of 7 years. Thought it was quiet over the past couple of weeks as it yaps at the sound of a pin dropping a mile away and is generally a pain in the arse. Apparently it was costing too much to keep so they sent it off to a rescue centre. Feel sorry for the dog but can't say I'm sad to see the back of it.
They've still got the cat for now, but they've said if cat food goes up much more that will be going as well.
Utterly heartless, can't believe they can't make a few small personal cutbacks to keep a family pet. The dog will be mourning its owners at the moment but I am glad it will end up in a better home. They've still got the cat for now, but they've said if cat food goes up much more that will be going as well.

I think Mrs K would get rid of me long before the dog…They've still got the cat for now, but they've said if cat food goes up much more that will be going as well.

Sounds like amazing value. How long does the washing take to dry? Any chance of a photo? (doesn't have to include the missus)
Ha no worries. Here it is. The missus chucked the clothes rack out it with some dog towels on it but I'll string some lines up. Its just basic, it will get the afternoon sun so hoping we can just leave it out there and forget if the weathers bad. also gets a decent breeze down there. No idea on drying time yet. I'm tempted to extend it down to the shedfanders said:
Looks good, but where does the water from rainfall go?
It was never going to be waterproof as it was a quick budget fix to dry washing, park the bikes, leave the boots aside. I've chucked some all weather sealant down both channels so will drain down towards the far end or seep down the walls. It poured down today and all good..£100 remember :-)DT1975 said:

Next door is going to have a damp problem very soon.Mazinbrum said:
Spurred on by ever increasing leccy prices we bought an air fryer.
Two days in but It’s been a revelation, home made scotch eggs with runny yolks tonight, wish we’d bought one ages ago!
They are very very good, eh!Two days in but It’s been a revelation, home made scotch eggs with runny yolks tonight, wish we’d bought one ages ago!
I highly recommend the £54 Costco jobbie… delicious chips, roasties, veggies, & our inventive son has done some tasty coated halloumi strips!
Do you have the recipe for the scotch eggs? If we can make a veggie version, they sound great!

Very sadly I think you are right . Kennels are going to become overwhelmed with stray and disowned dogs. Makes me very sad. Costs- yes that’s the issue.
We pay £60 per month just for our dogs insurance & then there’s a £500 excess with any claim.
I’ve no idea tbh what we spend on her food & treats but I’d estimate another £50 a month.

And bins lying on the streets with these recent strikes.
Appalling really
They are on strike? I hadn't actually noticed any difference . Probably because the previously weekly collection round here is now every fortnight, although they can't even manage that and only come when they can be arsed. Remind me again what I'm paying CT for, which has gone up another 4% ?Appalling really
The real "cutbacks" we all need to be making is stop paying taxes and get these parasites out of power and string them up from lamp posts.
