Buying BYD shares?
Discussion
Guys,
I have a bit of spare cash at the end of the tax year and am looking for something unusual to invest in. While pondering this matter, my mind lit upon BYD; that Chinese company that seems to be making dirt-cheap 'leccy cars and which may have a big and bright future. Reasons not to buy are several; not least that The Omaha Sage has significantly trimmed his position although not exited altogether.
But this leads on to the how? How does one buy shares in this company? I can see the tracker on Google Finance (https://www.google.com/finance/quote/002594:SHE?window=1Y) and I can see the markets it's traded in but how do I access those markets?
Thanks!

if you've got a 2+ year time horizon, could be argued that TSLA has massively much more upside; yep stock been beaten down, but when (ok if, but i think when) the other parts of its business truly ramp up, folks will realise they're not a car company! Seems 'the Street' hasn't figured out yet about the energy,'bots, or the other internal business lines they have. BYD currently $54.25 via Trading212.
(do not forget that values can fall as well as plummet)
Indeed - not the same but check out Fisker’s share price for some industry news…(do not forget that values can fall as well as plummet)
Not a great deal of money in terms of the ISA value but it’s certainly an eye opener of how they’ve dropped (or more accurately plummeted).
