I sold Carillion around March this year, very glad I did. I think you would have to be very brave indeed to buy now.
My dilemma is what to do with my Provident shares. They have been very good in terms of growth and dividends but have been in decline since the recent profit warning. As we know there are often more than one profit warning, so sell or hold???
Read a bit of detail this morning, about mounting debts, pension funds etc.My dilemma is what to do with my Provident shares. Balfours were thought to be a buyer but have walked away.
Suggest you nail your blocks to the track

Could anyone a bit more knowledgeable shed some light on the price forecast of Sirius Minerals?
http://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/s...
https://markets.ft.com/data/equities/tearsheet/for...
For the last several years they reported higher than expected losses and I can't find any breaking news that would explain this rather high target price.
Ignore brokers forecasts - unless you find one with a crystal ball. Useless on the whole. http://www.hl.co.uk/shares/shares-search-results/s...

E.g.:
"Analysts' target prices rarely accurate, global study finds
The ability of analysts to predict future stock values accurately and consistently over time remains questionable and should warrant some caution"

Are BT doomed to continue their poor performance or is the new chairman a sign of good news?
Wife has a nice collection of shares bought through work via sharesave type things unfortunately the value isn't quite what we hoped.

I hold some BT shares, their isn't too much growth but worth holding for the yield imo.
Can't see that changing any time soon.

Wish I wasnt in carillion this morning - very savage.
Me too !! Only bought in a couple of weeks ago.... Looks like no dividends for a couple of years either Much further to go do we feel? It seems so at the moment
I wish I'd done what I was originally thinking of and stuck it into VUKE but was tempted by the yield - serves me right I suppose.
It's been a good week with BABA, SNE and FB shares so far, I bought them on leverage and set a tailing stop loss level. All 3 gained a bit so I will have some profit guaranteed even if the stop is triggered, and the premarket prices look promising today.
I might cash half of that today and and leave the other half with a generous stop level in case they keep growing on Monday.

BT are ex divi on Aug 11th hence whatever you own will return you 3.6% or if you use drip it will gain you the equivalent extra shares. I hold a large holding in my SIPP acquired recrntly. I think most of the bad news is past so feel relatively confident over the next 12 months they will climb
Anyone holding INDV? They specialize in making a drug that helps to combat opiode dependence and announce results 27th July, certain areas of the us are in the grip of prescription and heroine misuse epidemics and sadly INDV look to be well positioned to take advantage, especially if Trumps rehash of Obama care continues to support people...
Stick it on the watch list.
