Was thinking of trying to cash in all my little holdings and put back in for one big run.
Last time I cashed in any bods (via my online account) I had to cash in the oldest bonds first, rather than the little £25 bonds I wanted to cash in. I didn't think the forms at the Post Office existed any more either where you could detail the bond numbers to cash in - or have I been mis-reading the online website?Nothing for me today
Has anyone used the iPhone app and won anything significant? So when it says 'be aware of your surroundings and then BAM - £50k!'?? I'd be keen to know
I might have posted this before but a long time ago I used to work for the Co-op bank as a customer advisor on the phones, a lady rang in and was asking where her nearest co-op branch was and I could see on the system she had never called before.
She had a strange kind of excited tone in her voice to which I asked her: "What are you so excited about?"
She went on to explain that 3 months before her friends had won £10k on premium bonds and encouraged her to invest - which she did! She invested £14k and on the 3rd month got a call to say she had won the £1m bonus and someone would be round to the house to discuss whats best to do with it and the cheque would be handed over. At the time she thought it was a wind up from the family and so I've been doing premium bonds ever since.
Hang in there people!

2x £25 on £15k for me this month.
It automatically reinvested the winnings. Is this better then pulling them out?
They go straight into the next draw rather than having to wait a full calendar month if you put new cash in yourself... so yes, probably better to auto-reinvest unless you want the cash out for something else. It automatically reinvested the winnings. Is this better then pulling them out?

As I have 15k at the moment, if I wanted to top it up, do I have to take £50 off or are any winnings outside of the max allowed?Gassing Station | Finance | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
