My Mum won £500 at the weekend from £2k, chuffed to bits. She was baby sitting for me and the missus' cheeky night out at the casino so we gave her a decent bung when we got in as we were up when she told about her little windfall. Good weekend smile

So your mum won £500, and you paid her extra for babysitting as a 'congratulations'?

Great return .
I'm in for 100k so my return on investment is crap in comparison

No we paid her extra because we had a decent win at the casino, then we heard about her prize draw, making for a good weekend for her. Amazing really, the average rate of return looks terrible. My daughter has 15ks worth of bonds,I think she's won £25 twice in just over a year frown

The odds are being tweaked due to the base rate rise.

from Friday 1 December your odds of winning something each month with each £1 bond will improve from 30,000 to 1 to 24,500 to 1

Nothing this month, but in the last 12 months I made 2%, so happy enough with that return, and still waiting for the million...

£25 for me this month, 1st month in the draw so at least i won something.

It's better than my shares have done this month.

6 x £25 on £50k. Total for year of £5550.

Happy with that! Paid for the New York holiday we've just had.

Fantastic return - I'm not checking mine until Monday (no knock on the door) so I don't post a disappointed message, later to be retracted... although I've probably now jinxed myself into no win this month!

Nowt on 50K. For some peculiar reason I never get anything in December. Ok for the year though so roll on January.

There was one prize of £5,000, so definitely not a typical year for me.

My Dad has had a £10k and a £5k, and wins something most months.
It must be over a decade since he won over £100, though.

Meanwhile, his life savings have eroded to almost nothing in the past 30 years...
