No mention of being backed by the FCA though
Although it does point out that you could lose the lot if their loans turn bad.

Yes, but I think the risk/reward difference is valid. PBs pay very little, but are low risk. That bond pays well and isn't low risk. Both are valid, but not really comparable.

Has anyone received the email circular from NS and I WRT growth bonds and other products they have?
Couple of you might be interested and they're guaranteeing 2/3% on some.

That seems to be an acceptable return around here, so thought I'd point them out.

Stuck £250 in nearly 10yrs ago just to wind a mate up, had one £25 prize in that time so have cashed in this week.

I'm no finance guru but that's not a fair comparison. He could easily have lost double that. Plus you don't make anything until you cash out.
But I'm sure he appreciates the advice.
