How safe is this? I will need to pull the money out for a house purchase in two years so that 6.5% is appealing!
My name is not Martin Lewis wink
Looks appealing doesn't it? Sorry I have no idea, I just Googled it and found it. Start a thread on it or go to Lewis's site maybe.

LC&F is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, FRN 722603. It should be noted that the bonds offered by LC&F are repaid via loans made to companies and therefore your capital is at risk. Interest payments are not guaranteed

Another £50 this month, nada in Feb but £100 in Jan. Not a bad start to the year on £30k.

The more I read about it the more I get twitchy. I have zero experience in investing hence why I chose premium bonds. I do need to be very risk adverse, as I need the money for a future house deposit. Il give it a miss I think, not brave enough.

Wise decision.

Anyone else notice on the prize checker how lucky the two millionaires were this month.

One obviously topped up their bonds in August 2017.

The other one - this must have been their first month in the draw!!! Bought their bonds in Jan 2018.

2x£25 this month keeps the return on track. I know of someone who purchased £45k and had their first draw in January with £175 and this month they have £125. May be newer bonds have a better chance than long held ones.

Won £25 for the 3rd month in a row, despite cashing in some bonds last month.

Each individual bond has the same chance but newer bonds tend to win more often as there simply are more of them. It used to be people who got £5 of bonds as a birthday present in 1960 where as now it is someone who bought £30k of bonds last year.

I got nowt this month.

Not worked for us! £50 each this month on £30K holding each. I think that's the highest winnings total we've had. Bought mid 17 - a few months neither of us had had anything.

At a quick scan of the top prizes there do seem to be a lot of 2017 purchases that won - maybe people were putting more in as interest rates are low and other investments looked very toppy.

One of the £1M prizes this month went to a guy with £7k, in his first ever draw.

Jammy so and so.

Believe it or not I had seven winning numbers this month.
Came back down to earth with a bump when I found out it totalled £200.
Still, better than a punch in the nads...

It’s looking like an annual return of around 1.5% presently
