First month of following purchase of £30k following house sale and filling up a number of savings accounts; thought I would put some in PB.

£25 on £30k.

Where do you find the details of winners of significant prizes? i.e. prize, number of bonds held, county - not after actual address ;-)

What happens to dead peoples bonds if they are not left in a will... do they just carry on being unclaimed wins if drawn? If so there could thousands of numbers drawn that will never be claimed.
Not unclaimed as such though are they? They are either posted to you as a cheque which will be returned to sender and I imagine investigated as to why or reinvested until you hit a big win and agent millionaire comes to find you.

There is currently over £63 million in unclaimed bonds.
£63m in unclaimed prizes. Not a huge amount, relative to the £80 billion total invested and £93m in prizes per month.
Yes ..but if they are drawing numbers that belong to f@cking ghosts, they are not going to be claimed ffs. 9 out of 10 numbers drawn may belong to deceased.

Eh? No idea what point you're making there.

You have virtually no chance of winning. The money will just stay in the pot if nobody is claiming it. Unless each unclaimed number is redrawn. I don’t own any... but considering buying some.

I think the point is that the bonds numbers that are unclaimed are probably mostly still eligible for current draws, if they were to win again (or any in the same batch they were purchased with) then their existence just reduces the chances of winning for everyone else, good for the government though, they have to payout less.

5 of the unclaimed bonds are worth £100k each. frown

Yeah, but they're a small percentage. For the whole time premium bonds have existed, there's only £63m unclaimed prizes. There's £93m in fresh prizes every single month. So shouldn't be a major concern.

there was only 1 month last year when I didn't win at least £25 on about £14k. Already had 3 winners this year too.

4 x £25 for me this month on £37k held. That's £350 over the last 6 months.
