£100 this month...currently 1.6% from £50k.

Good to see someone with a single £25 bond won £100k this month.....pretty good investment.

I had £7 of bonds since I was a child. Think I won £25 in fifty-odd years. Put another £19,000 in a couple of months ago.

2 x £25 last month
2 x £25 this month

Can't imagine it'll stay that way but a reasonable start - already nearly as much interest as from a cash ISA.

30k in for last 3 months after 0.01% with the bank for the last few years (I know, I know!) so far, £25 each month which I'm more than happy with. Now if I get a dud month I'm going to be grumpy until I get a compensatory £50+!

Completely forgot it was the start of a new month and that excitement as to whether I've hit the jackpot, when I got an email to say I had a message. Oh yes, of course, it's premium bonds time.

Logged in to find I had won 3 x £25. About time too as I haven't had a win since May and was thinking of withdrawing and reinvesting with new numbers!

My iPhone has just done the latest update, checking my apps and the app is no longer working.

Is it just me?

Had £25 on £1500 in October. Nothing in Nov and withdrawn some since so only have £800 for Dec. But had £75 since Feb with £3000 or less so not too had I guess.

Just increased my holding by another £40K, £20K each for me and the wife. I did this yesterday, so will that be included in the 1 December draw?

I don't think so, you need to hold them for a clear month before they are eligible for the next draw.

(doesn't matter, I never win much anyway. In all the years we've held them, we've had 1 x £50, and various multiples of £25. That's it.)

princeperch is correct, you need to hold bonds for a full calendar month before they are eligible for the draw.
I'm just about to buy some more to be included for Jan '21.

You put £20k in and got £125 win?

I never done premium bonds but seems really poor returns.

Would you be better putting £20k in a S&S ISA all on Shell shares for dividends? You would get like £1kish a year.

You have a good point Aiminghigh123.
However, as I'm sure you're aware, capital is at risk with a share holding and dividends aren't always guaranteed, even from the oil sector... (speaking from experience here).
A good long term play though if you pick the right shares.

£125 won on a £20k investment for that ONE month represents ........... 7.5%?

Some folk don't win a bean with maximum holdings, so £125 in one month on 20k is pretty good.

Are you sure about that? Shell dividends have been reduced along with their share price.

Yeah, I hear what you say, I’ve not done to bad over all the years I’ve held them.
Quite happy leaving them there for the foreseeable future, who knows, may get the big one some day:-)

Have enough elsewhere anywaysmile
