How does it work with the kids one? You open in their name and just pay in as per an adult account?

To date I’ve been funnelling any wins from our holdings into a JISA

Yes, when they were born in 2013 and 2014, just rang NS&I to create their accounts; put 40k into each, with pitiful returns, then raised to 50k each.

Nothing for me, although my balance was £250 until a few days ago when I paid £13k into it.

Not sure if the only recent investment means it doesn't get counted or something?

Plan to keep saving £500 a month to build up some emergency savings plus money for later on for holidays or something

EDIT: HSBC showing my £13k pending but NSANDI have received it, so it's possibly I missed the cut off or something.

4 x £100 and 1 x £50 on 50k.
Zilch on £10k.

Not too shabby.

Someone had a right touch there.....£100k win on a £400 bond bought in July 21, holding £6100 in total. Well played!
Hardly well played, it's just luck.
I just wanted to say, well done on being right on the internet. Make sure you tell your wife, she’ll be quite impressed.

Well after having jumped the gun and assumed I had blanked completely with my second month holding the full £50,000 I can confirm I have indeed won..................£25. Onwards and upwards I guess.

The £13k won't be in the draw until 1 April at the earliest. Bonds only go into the draw after being held for one full month. If your purchase went through in February, they'll be in the April draw, if the purchase happens in March they won't be eligible until the May draw.

Ah great thanks for confirming that. Will keep my fingers crossed for some good luck next month!
