MY mother in law has now won every month for the last 6 months. Several £25's a £50 and a £100. She has £10k in there. She must be insanely lucky asI have £17k and haven't had a sniff in a year.

I've averaged 2.25% over the last 12 months, much worse than that in previous years, so I opened a Vanguard stocks and shares ISA today, i hope this is better over 10 plus years.

I was on a call today & my email flashed up “national savings & investments”

My thoughts went,
“it’s not the beginning of April”
“Wait, does that mean…..”

Couldn’t get off call quick enough to check, sadly just the generic marketing email we all probably got!

Going to buy the max amount of bonds for the Mrs and I today.

We're trying to buy a house, so will need fast access to our money at some point in the next 12 months. Premium bonds seems to be a relatively decent place to park the funds.

I wish I could buy the bonds at my bank etc though, the govt website is pretty... sh*t and makes me scared!

Excited for the monthly draw.

Albeit a few years ago I found it the easiest and least stressful £50k transaction ever.

There are some pension fund managers where up until a couple of years ago it appeared that all your money had disappeared for days as there was no record of the transaction at all, apart from the money leaving our bank.

Has the cash hit your Bond accounts yet? Unless the appear in your bond accounts tomorrow at the latest, I fear you may miss the May draw if they're deemed as early April purchases. Fingers cross for you!

I'm sick of seeing 'sorry, no luck this time' every month so eyeing up some gold britainnia coins, instead.

Let's see what April brings...

I'm afraid you're out of luck there too, (it's mine) but it will ease you into the disappointment of premium bond results.

Similar position here, received funds to clear mortgage but we have a 5% penalty, so we need somewhere safe till then.
Bonds purchased but have to wait till May now.

Look on the plus side, you've got a full month of hope ahead. If you had got them in the April draw, your bubble would be burst by Tuesday smile
