Admiral Car Insurance Rant
Discussion
I was with Admiral for many years. As a young'un with a reasonably high-performance car (at the time), they were great.
However, I have become less and less paitient with the annual 'renewal dance'. Pay £500 in year one, the renewal comes through at £600 for year two. Go onto their website and find it's £510. Phone up and go through all the information in minute detail for 30 minutes. End up paying £510.
Understand why they do it, but year-on-year it becomes an unwanted or unneeded hassle. Fine when the 30 minute call would save me £300, less so when it would save me £20.
This year I insured through Nationwide, who were much cheaper than the renewal from Admiral but a little more expensive than the Admiral web price. Worth it not to have to phone them for 30 minutes, though!
