work on £100 / ft and he may have 2/3rds of the job done .
there aren't many UK newbuilds that I have seen that cost more than £100 / ft (not including land). We just finished ours, including some madness at the kitchen shop, and it was just the wrong side of £90 / ft...JPJPJP said:

Maybe the area has something to do with it, we are in Yorkshire.I assume the builder done the lot for you , start to finish. ?
We let it out as four parcels of work, the first 2 of which were won by the same firm
1. Ground works & foundations
2. Build through to being ready to decorate (excluding kitchen fit)
3. Kitchen supply & fit
4. Finishing (decorating mostly), shutters for the windows, that sort of stuff
