I dropped 7 trees this year with my chainsaw. One I had to do in sections due to it being so close to a garage and a greenhouse and being 40 foot high. Scary stuff!
That's the easy bit. Getting the stump out will be the problem. As others have said, leave about 5 foot of the trunk, dig around to a depth of at least 2 feet cutting all roots and then using the trunk as a lever and something strong to pull on it, lever it out.
OR pay the £200 to £300 to have it done by a tree surgeon.

That's not a big tree.
Just take all the branches off & take the thing down till you have a stump about 6 foot high to give yourself some leverage for the next bit.
Then dig round the base & cut what roots you can see & then basically push & pull on the stump till it gives way & comes out.
Job done, no need for a stump grinder.
