Spookily I have an email from them saying the 150pc set is £99. It isnt showing that price online so do you want me to send you the email OP?

I was going to get this set, but got a 211pc Crescent set from Costcos instead (about £70 I think) which also has a lifetime guarantee and seems good quality.
That would be grand. Drop me a PM and I'll reply.

I have found that I can join Costco soon because of my new job so maybe that sounds better............

Decisions.

I guess Halfords have branches everywhere if I needed a replacement.

Aparently they are quite well known in America (To the point where an adjustable spanner is called a Crescent Wrench)

Trouble is, most of these kits contain meteic and imperial sizes. If you use them on the vast majority of modern cars, you are unlikely to be using half the bits. I bought a full set of sockets off ebay for about 40 quid, all metric pieces, and so far it has been fine. It gets used reasonably often as well. If I can get to a PC i'll put up a link.

We have a classic car that was my Dad's, so good to keep imperial sockets around.

This is very similar to the one I purchased, mine was in a blue box!

I accept that older cars will need AF sockets, no problem, but most modern stuff won't, and I'm too tight to pay for stuff I won't use!

The set I bought is plenty good enough for under 40 quid delivered, and has proved itself so far , it also has a lot of extra bits as well.
