First of all i dont care about my spelling its a forum not a university assignment, so grammer police shut up.

I am considering having a lodger in my house so i can have more spending money, a nice car etc, i have a small 2 bedroom house with only 1 bathroom.

I was wondering if there would be a type of person who wouldent be around much? i was thinking of asking someone who worked shifts and who led a busy social life? or a mature student? what would be best to search for?

Ironically, your only spelling mistake is in the first sentence biggrin

Put an advert on Gumtree or similar and see what the response is. Once you have a short list, go from there. I'd imagine you will get a fairly broad spectrum of people looking for a room unless your advert is very specific.

Yes get a lodger, it will be non-stop fun and laughs. 9 out of 10 sitcoms can't be wrong.

Rare to find but someone who lives far way but needs to be in your area for work. So stays monday to Friday and goes "home" at the weekends.

I work with a guy who has his family in Glasgow but lives in London Monday to Friday. Flys home on Friday night and flys in on Monday's.

Your location is the main thing.

Anywhere near a hospital, university or major town with jobs for young(ish) businesspeople? If so, great.

If not, expect creepy weirdos.

They will spend hours in the bathroom. Not good if you like a beer or two in the evenings. Not that I have any experience with that, and no don't use the kettle.
