My current UPVC windows are about 20 years old - a few units have started to steam up. I thought about repair - but decided to change..

I need 10 windows, 3 about 1800x1200, 5 1200x1200, small cloakroom window, + 1 1500/800 ish
I know it is a very vague question!, but roughly what is the right price for reasonable quality windows fully fitted? No doors/no bays/ plainish windows for 1970 house.

Also does anybody have any recommendations in my area?. I dont want high pressure sales or the last minute call to the manager to get a better price. Just a good job at a reasonable cost - no bullst..

Only just seen this - no idea about pricing I'm afraid, but I used Custom House Windows for mine. Weren't the cheapest (or the most expensive) but brilliant quality and did a great job - I didn't even have to redecorate around the new windows! They've just quoted for my granny over in Windsor and were the cheapest quote she got which I was surprised by as I thought they did slightly more "up market" installations. Worth a go anyway - I've not got any links to them but was impressed with their service (and no pressure sales approach!).

Depending on how many openings you want and whether you are looking at white or brown, I would expect around £5k. By all means PM me your sizes, colour and styles and I'll email you a price to work from if you can wait until I'm back in my office on Thursday.

Abbey windows reading, used on 3 diff houses good and very competitive. Just keep pushing on price. Just done 3 lots of french doors and 3 windows and they were way cheaper than my builder got quotes for.

We used Kees Glaziers for our double glazed roof, and friends have used them for replacement windows. Straight up fair prices (no hard sell), attentive, small scale local family firm based in Wellington Road. In my experience, well worth getting a quote from.
