Any ideas? About 3 - 4 inches high.

That's not the clearest photo, but I would say that they may be decayed specimens of either the Morel (if the cap looks like a web) or False Morel (in which case it would look more like a brain). The former are reportedly delicious but the latter can be deadly so I wouldn't recommend trying them.
