Anyone done this?

It appears I can get a cheaper deal if I get my Gas and Elec from different places. Any pitfalls to this apart from getting 2 bills?

It must have now come full circle as, 'twas always advertised as duel-fuel being the cheapest solution.

jester Thought it might have been a bit of a daft question but as the utility companies make you jump through hoops to change suppliers these days I thought there may be pitfalls.

Gave up in the end and went with the cheapest deal from the current supplier as they are pretty cheap as it is.

Splitting would have maybe saved me another £10-£20.

The number of packages, and different rates available now is ridiculous and the on-line comparison sites are useless tbh.

They don't factor in time of usage (night rates etc) or if you are a high or low user very well.
