As per the title really, Aldi Multi-Master tool with 25 piece tool set for £30 available on Thursday.

http://www.aldi.co.uk/uk/html/offers/special_buys3...

I've always wanted one but never been able to justify the cost of a Fein one. Got to be worth a punt at £30!

I've got one ,they are very loud ! They vibrate quite a bit and the blades are expensive (same blades as the fein) they do the job though .no comparison with the fein quality though having used both .

Bought the Bosch version last year and as Bimsb said blades are very expensive and it's a bit crap really. Quite disappointed with it. I primarily bought it to cut a floorboard in the corner of a bedroom and it was singularly unsuccessful. I put the tool back in it's box and can't think I'd ever use it again and I love messing about with tools and DIY stuff. Wanna buy it? Make me a sensible offer and it's yours

I borrowed a fein version from a mate to cut the bottom off the skirting when i laid an oak floor ,it worked amazingly well i'm not sure the aldi version would have coped so well.

I buy blades for my Fein off ebay, £50 for ten 50mm blades. Think thats the size, a lot better than the £14+ from Fein

I feel like I need one of these - but I'm not sure what I'll use it for?

Always fancied a Multi Master but put off by the price on the basis that it would be very useful but not used very often.

Might get one of these. Thanks for the heads up.

My experience of the Bosch unit (assume same one, the 180) is pretty much the opposite. Ok, it's not the fastest but it is by some distance the best tool I've used for cutting sections of floorboards out.

Damn handy for cutting in tight spaces with the square blade

I'll be taking a look at the £10 blade kit on thurs, hope it fits the Bosch unit

I wonder if the Aldi blades fit the Bosch machine? Bosch blades are stupid money.

These kind of tools are for light duty in areas/angles where nothing else will do it. Try to use them like an angle grinder or a circular saw and you'll be very disappointed.

Update time.

Well I bought one of these specifically to chase out a wall for some new sockets and I will say it really is top drawer! Best 30 squids I have spent in a long while. The tool itself is really well made and it cut through plaster like a knife through butter leaving a reall nice clean edge. Really, really fast....

I can see there will be a load of uses for this in the future. Definitely recommended for a DIYer!

I never knew I needed one of these until I read this thread !!!

Dammit, looks like I'll be down to ALDI tomorrow frown

It will probably be simliar to the circular saw and the circular mitre saw, used about once a year ... but fun all the same smile

I bought the Fein, very useful tool indeed.
If you think the Fein is expensive don't ever buy anything from ArborTech wink

This is one of Aldi's twice weekly specials, I doubt they will have any left after two weeks.
